I’ve not read Pet Semetary. I really should but I’ve always avoided dead dogs in books so I skipped that one and Cujo.
I should get Rewitched finished this weekend too and also The Magpie on Kindle. I’m enjoying both but there’s a TW of infertility for The Magpie.
I would’ve read Rewitched faster but I’m scared to damage the pretty pages
I'd never read Cujo because I didn't fancy it, bit I read it recently and thought it was great, but ultimately whilst Cujo does some bad
tit it's not his fault poor fella, so it is sad.
I’ve only ever read 11.22.63 by Stephen King and I really fancy giving some of his “classic” books a go so interested to know if people have any other recommendations?
The Shining always makes me think of Joey from Friends putting it in the freezer when it gets too scary! Good to know that’s an option if they’re a bit too much!
I've read most of them. The Shining is the only one that really scared me, you can just feel the evil.
My recs (in no order, just my favourite ones)
Christine
Misery
It (brilliant as long as you just skim read the last hundred or so pages when Steve's drugs kicked in!)
Needful Things
Firestarter
Joyland (absolutely brilliant, King is at his finest with a coming of ages story!)
The Dead Zone
Salem's Lot
Just any of them really, they're all great!
