I’m almost finished listening to This is Going to Hurt by Adam Kay and I am loving it! It’s exactly my type of humor and is a fun, light hearted, easy listen. I also think he does a really good job of narrating it himself. I’m not sure it would have worked as well with a different narrator.

Thank you to the people on here who mentioned the book as I’m not sure I would have known about/came across it if it wasn’t for you all!

okay this is VERY promising and i’ve bumped it up my tbr list beach read is my absolute favourite so i really hope you like it when you get to it!

Ooh that’s good news for me! I might do a highly predictable thing and save it to read on the beach in June.

It has been 490 days since I last bought a book. I jave today aquited two new books on my Kindle. My mum let me use her Amazon account as I was ordering some birthday gifts for nieces and nephews at the same time.

Not sure if that counts or not.

I find it really hard to get into fiction but I read the seven husbands of Evelyn hugo, and it was quite good. In my mind I imagined Evelyn to look like Bridgette Bardot mixed with Jane Mansfield.

Obviously just my perspective (and I could definitely be overly sensitive here) but I don't want anyone to think we're making light of addiction and addiction recovery? (I know no-one here is, of course!) So Book Addicts Anonymous wouldn't be my choice for a name change.

IIRC didn't like the writing or the characters but if you end up liking it I may give it another go!
Genuinely the only reason I bought it was because of the giant 'I love fool' title, a good lesson not to buy books because of their cover

The Chestnut Spring books are 99p each today on kindle.

They are so good, if you like romance genre anyway. The first one was the worst imo but various diff tropes with cowboys yeehaa.

I finished Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. I adored it. 5 out of 5. Possibly my favourite book of the year so far (although perhaps that is shared between that and Demon Copperhead so far this year). What a wonderful book!

ahh thanks for this! I had not had a good look at kindle offers today so would have missed it. I still have books 3-5 to go so just got them all!
