Completely disappointed. The last 25% of the book was like reading a fever dream. It was like reading two completely different books. Both would’ve been good if he stuck with one genre!I know quite a few of you have read year of the locust. Did any of your feel slightly disappointed by it? I saved it to read over the festive period because it’s so chunky. I’m not quite done yet but feel like maybe my expectations were too high?
104 was my target last year and I did itThanks to whoever said on the last thread that Penance was on 99p deal, have bought it and Prophet Song! I've managed to read 10 books this month (thanks to 2 weeks off before christmas) and am hoping to finish the 11th before NYE, which will mean I have read 98/100 books this year. Even though I'm just short of my target this makes me very happy! Next years target I'm setting at 104, so 2 books a week....!
Omg don't say this. I am still slogging through and am only on page 75Completely disappointed. The last 25% of the book was like reading a fever dream. It was like reading two completely different books. Both would’ve been good if he stuck with one genre!
That “twist” came out of the blue and just ruined what could’ve been a 4 or 5 star read for me
