You can be socially liberal but fiscally conservative. So yes, you can be gay and a Tory, but Glynn tweeted stuff from the Brexit party and UKIP and Nigel Farage and I think we all know they have an unpleasant underbelly.

It’s a shame if he’s a UKIP supporter. He’s filled out very nicely otherwise...

I remember thinking Glynn seemed so much older than me at the time when in reality it was two years .I can’t believe he’s only 33

I could cheerfully have booted half the cast of season 7 off a cliff with concrete boots. It did make good TV watching good triumph over plastic though. There was a definite dramatic moral arc in place through that season, with the worst ones (Grace the ultra-narc along with her retinue of purse puppies, aggro flying monkeys and witch boys) allowed to settle into their cliques and lord it, then given enough rope, proceed to hang themselves one by one until there were none. Pete was cool but I wish Aislyene had won the grand prize purely to make Grace's fat head explode in narc rage.

Imogen has to be one of the most vapid and dull people I’ve ever come across in my life. She seemed to have absolutely no personality whatsoever. Pretty but so boring with the conversational skills of a plank of wood.

I don't think there's any housemate I could say I liked as a person. But that was the fun in watching it lol. You just hoped every week the worst one went.

I am impressed with her support for Nikki though

I couldn't bear Aisleyne with her posturing and Fake gangsta act I think she got as far as she did via manipulation a bit of poison here and there.....

That is the opposite of what I remember to BB7.

I remember the moral arc, but it didn’t play out naturally like it did two years later in BB9. The producers manipulated the hell out of BB7 to make it so. They didn’t allow Grace and her clique to settle at all, they were punished for the most minor infraction of “talking about nominations” whilst Pete and Richard who did the same on a more blatant scale were not reprimanded. Out of the 13 weeks, I believe there were only two weeks of “normal” nominations, without their being a twist or people being banned from nominating. It seemed like they were doing everything to secure an easy Pete win.

I've just been watching it this past week or so, and they didn't get barred for 'minor' infractions, they got barred because they couldn't stop nastily conferring in blatant manner over nominations because they were so deep in resentment over them. Imogen was so dopey she allowed herself to get roped into these conversations three times in a row. Lisa descended into rages so severe she forgot the rules too and would sort of Homer Simpson D'OH afterwards when reminded in the diary room then immediately go off and do it again. They were so motivated by their spite and rage they simply forgot they were being recorded 24/7. It was hilarious watching them be so self-absorbed in their hatred of others they repeatedly made stupid arses of themselves. BB actually et up a task (standing on a box) with a prize of being immune from nomination that was designed to keep Grace in the house if she'd had the stamina, which she didn't.

Pete was actually the first one to see through and name Grace as the instigator of a lot of the unhappiness in the house. Smart lad. Grace was a textbook example of a female narcissist whose sense of security and entire sense of self relies on constant proof she's winning the male sexual attention competition she's got set up in her head against all other women who aren't naturally submissive to her (plus her rage at older gay Richard was instructive - how a female narc reacts to a man who neither kowtows to her socially or has any use for her sexually). She would never have won or lasted to the final stages because nobody likes women like this. Nobody. Same way everyone hates preening, shallow, womanizing little shits like Sezer. People liked Pete inside and outside the house because he was a nice bloke without some inherent rancour (although he above others probably deserved to have some) who didn't treat others like tit on his show, didn't participate in coarsely sexually ranking and rating and excluding others, and his entertainment value wasn't based on stirring up hate and drama but on more positive traits. Same with Aisleyne - people liked her because she showed independence and backbone and had fun that wasn't based on putting others down, which are traits which have far more longevity than being a tiresome catty girl in a tiny bikini with nothing to offer but extreme youth and 'look at meeeeee' sexuality.

Although the divide in the 2006 series was large, it wasn't half as bad as the cliques in 2005. I rewatched both series a few years back and the hate from the Maxwell/Saskia/Anthony/Craig crew towards anyone even slightly different from them was huge, and undercut with a lot of homophobia if I remember correctly

I rewatched the BB with Anthony, Craig etc not long ago. Craig comes across as so manipulative and borderline creepy with Anthony. Was way worse than I remember, he'd literally flip with Anthony over nothing.

Yes, Craig's crush on him was out of control and became very obsessive and creepy. There would be uproar on social media if it was broadcast today, if it was a man acting like that towards a woman he would have been thrown out!

BB6 had so many really awful individuals, it was quite hard to know who to root for at times.

Even Derek, who was old enough to know better, was complicit in the bullying of Sam Heuston and he could be very patronising to Science.

On original viewing I could not stand Anthony but I re-watched last year and he absolutely deserved that win after how he dealt with the nutters that were Makosi and Craig.

Yeah it’s interesting actually, overall I think BB7 was a much less nasty series than many others, but we all remember Grace as one of the biggest bullies. I suppose it’s because she was a ringleader, whereas in the likes of BB6, you had more of a gang mentality.

I have to say though I always thought Saskia was a far worse example of what the above poster makes of Grace. Like I’ve said before, I always thought Grace was really just very young and very privileged and used to ruling the roost. The fact that she went off quietly into the night after BB always made me think she had some sort of sense and self-awareness.

As much as I appreciated the likes of Pete and Aisleyne for standing up to the popular group in that house, I still found them both as equally unlikeable as the “in” crowd. Glyn was my fave, and I had a huge soft spot for Nikki. One of the most memorable moments of that series for me was Richard’s letter from home. Not sure I’ve ever cried more at reality TV.

There were far worse bullies than Grace. IMO Bex from BB9 was absolutely foul, and it was her tit stirring that provoked the second fight night. In fact that nasty gang were even nastier than thr BB7 ones with Dennis, Luke, Jennifer, Dale etc. Though Luke in fairness seems fairly decent now and has obviously grown up a lot. I know he suffered a lot of really bad trolling, including death threats. Bex is still as awful as ever, and makes a living by stripping off on soft core porn channels.

They were an awful bunch. I feel BB9, more than any other series, it was a case of Good vs. Bad. I was very glad B-Block won out.

This was the last Channel 4 series I watched, I did not like how things had turned and it was now a boo-able offence to be a nice, normal person (as that was seen as 'boring').

To this day, I never understood why Rachel Rice was so lambasted for being a 'fence-sitter'. Don't we go through life sitting on the fence to keep the peace!?

BB6 was definitely the nastiest BB. They were just awful.

I agree it's shocking to see some of the obvious racism and homophobia in BB6. It was vitriolic.

I loved BB7 too, but I think it's easy to forget how dull the second half of the run became. 13 weeks is a huge stretch of time, and all the big characters were evicted too soon.

I would love to go back to 2006 and watch it all again.

Derek was a monster and I have heard some very unsavoury stories about him since.Science was my favourite in that series so funny and he stood up to the sh*TS but was nice as well. He doesn't seem to have tried to cling on to fame since it ended. Didn't Davina interview Sam Houston in a bikini? Davina could be a nasty witch to some contestants as well, I hate all her gushing on "Long lost Families".🙄
