I find Charlotte’s coooooonstant screed about how very working class she is a bit tiresome but I like it a million times better than Rutter’s silence regarding her immense privilege tbf. She may be the only social media presence who’s ever enjoyed being mentioned On Here and I’m here for it.

Not to hijack this thread but really interested to see comments about CharlotteBhc crop up. She’s broken up from the bf she’s just bought a house with? She used to be someone I really enjoyed on twitter and I do try to understand the context of where she’s coming from, but sometimes she is just so relentlessly aggressive and anti-talking to anyone who doesn’t write for Vice. Get the impression there’s big beef between her and Bethany (and also Jenny Tighe) but no idea what happened

I really like the podcast, the themes are always good and I have read some great books on their recommendations. I find BR's voice and uptalk a bit grating sometimes (plus her go-to review if a book she likes is "it banged" which I find annoying but I'm not a millennial so maybe I'm just old and out of touch!) but I think it's generally a good listen and the books are carefully chosen.

She did say recently she was made redundant from Navabi. I would have assumed she would have made enough £ from her novel writing to keep her going but I suppose that’s not the case as she’s having to sell the earrings. Her husband doesn’t seem to make a lot of money, so she’s having to support them both.
