People gravitate towards authenticity and the truth. Something they've just never grasped.
- You found a townhouse/condo with more space for an equatable price to your Irvine apartment? Great move!
- You rented instead of bought because you're not sure if this is the area you want to settle down in, but it works for right now? That's just good business!
- The property is in one of the families and an opportunity opened up for you to move-in at a discounted (or free) rate? What a lucky break!
In this day & age, and in this economy - you gotta do what you gotta do. People get it. No one will fault you for working with the money and the options available to you. What they WILL fault you for, is just flat-out lying. The age of the influencer is over. People want something real.
And to anyone who has bought a home, it's such a HUGE accomplishment and a truly momentous occasion in your life. Whether you bought it 100% yourself, or you had some help from family - it doesn't matter. It's still an incredible achievement worth celebrating. And for them to just wander in off the street and try to steal that moment for themselves under false-pretenses is just gross. And sad.
Two of the biggest milestones in their recent lives have been totally fraudulent. 100k subscribers and new house. It's gotta suck internally receiving all the praise and congratulatory remarks - just knowing they didn't earn either of them.
