He’d have got something akin to a slapped wrist for DV I should think, suspended sentence, told to stay away from victims. The usual BS. Been there, got the tshirt. Now he’s facing jail time for doing a runner. What a stupid man.

Definitely. I don’t really understand how he got bosun in the first place honestly,he may well be a good deckhand (altho imo not outstanding in any way!) but he’s clearly an appalling leader and that should’ve been perfectly obvious. I suppose it’s ‘good’ tv to have him and Gael there.
On another note, I keep getting recommended posts on socials for below deck and the hate Gael is getting is awful. Like how is she the problem?! She’s newly postpartum with her first baby, in a strange country with absolutely no support. Nathan is dismissive and doesn’t cut her an inch of slack for feeling wobbly, which is shite. But yea, it’s disappointing but not surprising that so many of the general public seem to blame her for being upset but also for Nathan’s poor performance.

The police would have intel, and he has contacts working on boats who would have helped him flee. Shame on those who have helped him, he should have been told no and made to face what he has done!

Completely agree. I just find it very hard to swallow that they’re just carrying on regardless. If no time to edit, then don’t release the episodes yet, have a delay. I don’t know, I’m not a tv bod, but it feels completely wrong.
Also I keep getting BDM posts come up on social media (despite not folllwing any pages!) and the amount of people defending Nathan is sickening 🤢 especially the amount of women, makes it even worse somehow 🤦‍♀️

Seems to just be the police appeal that states he is possibly “offshore” which potentially means he could have left by sea.

I couldn’t stand Hannah, I thought she was absolutely fucking awful in every season (but she never deserved Malia going through her things etc), but I’m glad she seems happier now and that she made peace with sandy.

I can hardly watch the latest episodes knowing what a scumbag Nathan is. And I'm from Donegal, I'm actually embarrassed to be from the same county as such an angry little man.

I read that as he has video footage proving he didn’t do it and she had a history of making up stories about former partner too. What a bloody mess.
That said, if the video shows him choking her, no excuses or context for that wtf.

She's awful! I haven't liked any of them apart from Aesha and Joy, wow she's a fantastic chef and I don't mind Max, though that was brief and strange!

He's the kind of person who believes he is in the right. In his mind he was reacting to something (alluded to in his AI statement) that Gael had done or said. So it wasn't his fault, he was provoked

In his eyes the whole of the BD-universe is wrongly against him.

He's lost access to his son.

He will likely never work in super-yachting again, with convictions behind him .

I can see him swirling the drain, self pity and seemingly no way out of the legal stuff.

I hope I'm wrong, obviously. He's a piece of shit but I don't wish anyone dead.
