Word on Reddit that Nathan is up in court on a domestic violence related issue. Very sad if this is the case. I hope Gael and the baby are ok. Seems to be in court on 1st September.

Gen not realising she is the problem. I am loving kat telling her nicely and putting her in her place. I'd love to see her back in another season.

I don't get why Gail went to the dinner, if I got a night off I'd want to date my partner not have dinner with him and all his colleagues I don't really know.

I know we will never see Nathan and hope we never see Gen on another below deck season... though I'll take Gen over Solene, and several others who names have currently escaped me, that were only on it for fame and not being a yachtie.

The irony of Gen being annoyed that Kayley was pointed chief stew and now Kayley is acting chief stew for two charters running because her telling the crew about Luke (c***) on Nathan’s sheets leads to a domino effect of events resulting in Aisha having to go on deck duties thus Kayley having even more responsibility and the opportunity to prove she can be chief stew

It’s all over now. I felt icky posting about it after seeing some posts on Reddit because I actually think it’s unfair to Gael. I totally get that she is named on the court listing but she still deserves privacy and she is probably dreading the hearing. I doubt either of them read Tattle though but it seems most BD cast check Reddit.

The way he kicked off at Joe on screen merely mentioning Gael the other week showed he carries anger & carries it close to the surface& can’t manage it - and his reactions are so out of proportion, made worse no doubt by booze. That this was all over Christmas/Boxing Day no surprise. If this is how extreme he can swing in front of global tv cameras then I believe with every ounce of my being he loses his physical temper behind closed doors. How many of us have had to be victims to similar & then to have it DARVOed all over town.

I liked Nathan to begin with but he has turned out to be awful. A terrible manager, a terrible person and a terrible partner. Even Joe looks good next to him.

I read that as he has video footage proving he didn’t do it and she had a history of making up stories about former partner too. What a bloody mess.
That said, if the video shows him choking her, no excuses or context for that wtf.

He’s not denying it - that’s very important. If you hadn’t done this, and had video footage showing you didn’t, you’d be shouting it from the rooftops (and it wouldn’t be going to court). I think the video may show an element of provocation from Gael, the “context” he is talking about. Then he tries to justify/minimise it by saying she’s done this before.

Either way - if he’s done this, it’s absolutely abhorrent and no “context” or behaviour in past relationships makes it ok.

As for Nathan and Gael, they both gave me the rage in that episode trying to goad Joe, she shouldn't have even been there, but she started the shit in the taxi, probably wound up all evening by Nathan slagging him off.
Aesha must be loviest person ever on these reality shows!

Agreed, Aesha must be the nicest person on reality TV and really like her management style. She handled Gen so well

My chronically offline husband (who loves Below Deck too) has sent me the Nathan article which indicates to me it’s pretty mainstream !

What a vile little man . I hope he gets his comeuppance . I want to see him fail on this season even more now . I hope Max goes to Sandy about the lead deckhand text - no way she’d approve of shady dealings like that and taking it off Joe especially when he’s done a great job as bosun

It's now reached the local media where he's from in Ireland too.
He has removed all of the Below deck related posts from his grid and his bio, I'd imagine at the request of Bravo/Below deck production.

Gen is such bad vibes! The negativity is beyond - I'd find her impossible to work with quite honestly. When she was saying she missed being shit scared of her boss, I mean WHAT?!?

Never been a fan of Joe, but I hope he steps up with Nathan out and proves that he is worthy of being a bosun. His attitude towards women is questionable, but you can't take away how good he is at his job.
