Makes me laugh how on every other job you get performance reviews, appraisals, held accountable for despicable behaviour (or behaviour not compatible with a companies supposed values) yet somehow influencers can't handle a few hurty words about how they conduct themselves on social media? Maybe they should start an actual business away from the general public if that's the case.
This reminds me of a GCSE Media Studies project
What do they expect his parents to do anyway? He’s an independent adult with his own life it’s not like they can put him on the naughty step
I dunno that all BBC programmes are subtitled, my mum uses subtitles as she is profoundly deaf and she's previously said that not all programmes in iplayer are subtitled, some are only signed.
Caught the This Morning interview totally by chance, and I'm still miffed why they've got such a hate boner for this forum. Christ, the Mail comment section is worse than on here, nevermind actually *bad* forums like Kiwifarms and 4chan, and to a slightly less extent Lolcows, all of which are pretty f'ing vile. I guess trolling mentally ill people is fine, but heaven forbid someone doesn't agree with some attention seeking influencer. Are they that thin skinned?!
These people can make all the accusations they want, doesn't matter to me as I wouldn't post anything on here that I would say in conversation in person. In Starmer's Britain where you are more likely to get locked up for anti-free speech reasons, I'm done feeling too intimidated to speak when as far as I know nothing I say is illegal.
Documentaries like this feel like an intimidation tactic by a fragile mainstream media who know their relevance is very close to going the way of the dinosaurs, and politicians who can't bear to have their ideologies challenged.

Well This Mornings presenter stable is 90% Love Island influencer types isn’t it? They’ve got 3 or 4 actual professional presenters and the rest are exactly the type who have their own threads on Tattle.
I left Mumsnet because it was so toxic. Tattle is a breath of fresh air. Ironically I came here to have a look at it after Sali Hughes did a massive thing about it - and I realised it really wasn't what she was claiming it was. I'm furious that SB has been so hounded and his poor bloody parents have been targeted - by people who claim stalking is a bad thing!
I'm actually getting slightly worried that these attacks on Tattle are connected to recent announcements by the government to tackle anonymity on places like Twitter (the declaration to make posting on social media dependent on providing id).
There appears to be a serious agenda to shut down ways in which people can post anonymously online. Whether it be forums, social media, blogs or anything else, high profile people who have a bad faith need to control a public narrative, are always at risk of being exposed through such channels. The collective power of individuals coming together online and sharing parts of a story that as a whole blows apart some agenda, fake persona, or cover story, is atomic. And they are trying to stop our ability to do it.
You have to really zoom out to see the larger picture, and read around the subject a lot as it were, but Tattle is just one of many battles in the greater war against freedom of speech. Or as they like to call it 'disinformation'.
And no I don't know who they are exactly, but there's a couple of individuals and several global bodies that have red flags pinned all over them. And they have countless attack armies, of which the BBC is one.
Exactly why most don't have jobs.
“The media” will turn in a heartbeat if it wants to, it has few loyalties. SB is a target because he is an individual who owns the site, rather than a big company, and he doesn’t have any media friends going out to bat for him. I actually think in a few years people will be stealing grifter info from here and declaring tattle as a visionary who saw through the lies (but also were obsessed/bored/drunk moms) it wouldn’t take much to turn the tide than Dr Jess gets to be in a documentary after all - DEPHER style.

Why do these influencers think tattle is some taboo website that needs exposing to the masses where nobody would dare say they post on there. In my office we will say ‘oh I saw x on tattle the other day’ in the exact same breezy way we would say we have seen something on the daily mail, itv news, instagram, twitter etc etc. Nobody bats an eyelid if someone mentions the source of what they are chatting away about is tattle and the pitchforks certainly don’t come out

I agree about the motivation of targetting Tattle life, Id also add in that perhaps Tattle has been seen as a threat because of all the bot actions from places like Russia, so maybe some agencies have been curious about the motivation behind Tattle, and have allowed ''influencers'' to push to check out things like who actually ''owns'' tattle and what the motivation is behind it. If its just gossip for gossips sake...then its harmless, and will be left alone in future!
Re stealing grifter info, You do realise that this is already happening!!! ( I came here originally from Digital Spy to find out exactly what was going on re Philip Scofield.... the answer was ..... clear, but it was just nice to get behind all the deliberate obstruction and PR stuff. And gossip about behind the legal non disclosure stuff! ) I was also fed up with the deliberate shut down of any negative discussion of Harry and Meghan! Which also screamed some kind of PR intervention, which I thought was interesting!! If you go on threads now like the Harry and Meghan ones, there have to be established journalists and PR on there, partly because journalists lift stories from the thread, and partly because PR seems to respond to discussion points raised on the thread! A clear cross over between gossip and news!
Id also wonder if there is/was a link behind the Preston Davey stuff and the campaign just announced by Tony Hutchells mother, for some kind of public investigation? Its a horrific case, but they have only just been sentenced, the information has only just really been released in the press, and yet only a few days later a fully fledged, well supported campaign has been announced. Tattle had the ongoing trial reports, which were horrendous to read, but did kind of give a fairly clear picture about what was going on to a wider audience, so took a local case to national attention quickly.
Id like to make a comment to the BBS over this documentary....and apparent double standards! But this would mean watching the stupid programme, and as is sounds absolutely dire..... I really cant be bothered!
There does need to be a massive exposure of how social media is being used. It can be damaging and destructive and totally immoral. Especially when the fact checking isnt clear. Why they are picking on Tattle though, I am not sure. There are equally sarcastic comments elsewhere!
eg On fact checking.... Katie Price is heavily advertising a documentary made by Louis Theroux s producers. Does Louis Theroux actually have any involvement in this at all, or is it just name checking to get people interested?

Is it the one out now? According to the review I read, he’s not involved at all.
His Instagram post about I believe said it was people he works with but not him himself.
thing is some of these media and news sites use tattle and other gossip/snark forums for sourcing gossip and news, they’d never admit it
