I believe this is the conversation with person 4
I think this shows just how easy grooming potentially is - it's the teenager doing the chasing here, and with someone well known I bet that's often the case. An emoji is all it takes to reel someone in.

Why on earth a 60y/o would randomly send a heart emoji and then give the bare minimum chat in response have no idea. He realised how young this person was? He had too many other conversations on the go? This clearly isn't completely innocent, but I don't get what exactly is going on.

YES - multiple sources

the bbc predator made initial contact and selected the boy because of his instagram - he didnt just start texting a random number - he knew what he wanted .
Can you name one? I've not seen instagram confirmed as the first point of contact anywhere.

What underage images? The claim has been denied by both the alleged victim and the Sun is now also furiously backpedalling. Do you have some evidence of these images changing hands that nobody else has seen?
denied by the LAWYER being paid by the bbc predator .....

you cant honestly believe the 20 year old has £15,000 to pay a lawyer - hes been paid off and told what to say .

We need to establish a scale from 1 to Ian Watkins / Jimmy Savile, and determine where Prince Andrew, Philth Schofield, and BBC Newsperson each sit on that scale. Seems to me they're all three about the same level of unwise but not technically illegal, or unwise but only borderline illegal. Prince Andrew's case is really only different because snapchat and tiktok didn't exist yet.
Prince Andrew is "probably technically illegal, but would be damn near impossible to prove even if it happened last week"

Images are not a requirement for blackmail. If I had a record of an exchange of private messages between myself and Keir Starmer, where Keir had one too many Dragon Soops and started asking me if I'd pop round and peg him whilst wearing a Mick Hucknall mask and singing "Bummy's too tight to mention", I reckon I'd have a pretty good opportunity to illicit some money from it.
I'm literally peeing myself 🤣🤣 "bummy's too tight to mention" oh my god I will be giggling all day 🤣

So, four people:

crack c one
abusive messages one
tea party one
17 year old emoji one

plus that 35 year old with the DMs.

Potential for solicitation of underage images from the crack c one, but we don't have any confirmation that it occurred under 18. Possible malicious communication from the 2nd one. Lockdown rule breaking (is that still prosecutable? Hope not) in the 3rd. Nothing that I can see in that 4th one, apart from how silly is it to have any interactions at all with children you don't know on social media.

I can't imagine DMing someone who I knew to be a minor, it just wouldn't occur to me. I do note that the 17 year old seemed to be doing most of the messaging there so I wonder if HE was just trying to be polite- I would have shut it down all together as soon as I knew they were in education.

I was having a look at my work's company policy on social media. It's silent on DMs and focuses more on not posting inappropriate tit publically. However, I think we've all seen how public these DMs can become so I wonder if policies will be updated eventually. I'd be interested to see the BBC one, as they're dealing with public figures. I just can't see how the BBC will be able to allow him to carry on, so I really do think he's finished as a newsreader.

I hope his wife and kids are okay. This must be awful to go through even if they might have known at least some of it before.

I’m still half a thread behind but I’ve finally found the cup of tea thing.

This makes me really uncomfortable. ‘he would say he felt unwanted’ is emotional blackmail / control 101.

Also, if there’s evidence of HE having broken lockdown rules, the police will have to investigate that too.

Poor Tattle has had a hard few days of it. The hamster is in the wheel exhausted and the elastic band has snapped.
Also noticed when I logged in that the Register button seems to have gone. It's up next to Login usually isn't it?

Must be cutting back on any functions they can while still letting the speculation and gossip continue!

I do think it’s unfair to accuse him of playing the mental health card, he has quite the significant history of MH problems and it’s unfair to downplay it, not to mention there are many subtypes of depressive illness, mine is diagnosed as recurrent depressive disorder, and although the symptoms are largely the same, the affects of it are different for each of us - that said, if he is struggling with mental health I don’t think he’d be talking about it straight away in any event.
Whilst I mostly agree with you, I think it’s wholly inappropriate to have his actions in one hand and his mental health in the other.

It looks like he MAY have used insecurities to manipulate situations and get what he ultimately wanted. So we can’t say how far this has gone. For me, it doesn’t appear like MH was given much consideration during his activities. Surely it’s crossed his mind at some point it would come to light, but then being as blasé as it sounds like he has, I’m surprised it hasn’t come out sooner. Realistically if this was ever going to come to light, how would it have played? No different I imagine.

I agree, it’s worth keeping in mind that he has MH and needs watching at this time. I’m guessing he will be suffering but it’s all self inflicted. I think there’s a fine line between acknowledging his MH and excusing his behaviour for MH.
Nothing in this was meant to come across in any sort of way other than my opinion. I don’t mean to cause offence or insult. If you feel I’m misguided please feel free to bring that to my attention ♥

so you think they just got each others phone numbers by chance ?
What a cuntish thing to say! Justice for what? Buying nudes off a young guy, something that so many people are doing nowadays via OF?
he was 17 and hooked on drugs

for one thing its childporn
secondly a person addicted to drugs is hardly in a frame of mind to 'consent' anyway

dont compare this to OF ......

Katie Price? wouldn't have thought this was even on her radar... (unless she's had her next surgery eye on the peachy a!)
assume you mean Katie Hopkins? - whilst a marmite figure, she does have the guts to tell it as it is..
No I do mean Katie Price, she has written the most vile (and I do mean vile) things about her ex’s and some of their wive’s/partner’s, on her public social media accounts.

at the same time, can we be sure that he knew how old the person was at that time?
The messages trail off when they says that they are in their last year of school (and even then, they could have been 18/19)…

Hopefully Gen X and older will be the last cohort to have this problem of suppressed sexuality throwing everything into chaos in their later years.
