Why can’t they just mess around with adults instead?? Even if there’s still a big age gap can they at least make it so the person is older than like 25 christ! Then they’d only have the cheating on the wife to answer to but at least that isn’t illegal! I swear they are so deluded they think they’ll never be caught

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but they live interviewed Kelvin MacKenzie a few minutes ago on the BBC News channel - considering that he named Huw on his Twitter live stream earlier I think they’re just about ready for this to come out today.

Just seems so weird that they haven’t released the name despite knowing it will be obvious. Plus without releasing it, the whole situation has been dragged on way more than normal as the whole country sits in suspense.

If this person has applied and been granted a super injunction (which I suspect he has) then they can't legally name him. The claims were made 2 months ago so that is time to get a gagging order in place.

He must know by now that the bum photograph is circulating - if that was fake I'd expect him to issue a statement refuting it and saying he was getting lawyers in. Like, immediately. The picture's been up for about 24 hours.

I personally don’t think that’s real. The witch hunt for Scoff (rightly so) would have unearthed lots of stuff. All of a sudden it comes out when everyone is speculating. Maybe his lawyers are involved. But doesn’t mean he would need to be public about it. If that was real there would be some sort of order to have it removed by now. As it could be used in court. I asked my gran what she would do if she was in HE position. Just for an age perspective. She said nothing if she wasn’t the person involved. She would be concentrating on keeping the family out of the way and getting things in order to sue everyone and everything any way she could as quite likely his career is over regardless of innocence. It’s tarnished him now

What I don't understand is how, if you are in the public eye, you risk your entire career and reputation on this sort of stuff but they do, time and time and time again. Makes zero sense to me.

Cos they think they are untouchable / beyond the law

As much as I feel empathy for his family are completely innocent in their whole situation.

I don’t disregard any mental health AT ALL.
But i think it’s naive to think this could be kept a secret forever. But then I have to be honest, if this would have been a factor in consideration before the initial contact, would the same choices have been made?
Also playing devils advocate, the same choices have continued through the MH and it hasn’t changed any options.

like I said, I’m not meaning to downplay MH at all. Anyone who has been held hostage by their MH knows how serious it can be. But if there’s been clear and evident wrong doing, I don’t think it excuses what’s been done. Any choices that are made from here on out, will be due to it coming to light. That’s where it’s the snowball started.

Can confirm nor deny - it's not there but we don't have confirmation it wasn't always absent.

I thought that Clive’s reporting from Ukraine in the early days of the “special military operation” was exceptionally good. I hope it isn’t him!

I've seen a few posts concerned for HEs mental heath.

IF it is HE and IF the young person in question is a drug addict, do you think any ducks were given about that young lads plight by the person getting their jollies?

But not everything is black and white is it, was this young person already using drugs? Was HE suffering a mental breakdown when this started? Not that it would excuse it, but it can certainly cloud judgement and cause reckless behaviour.
Barely anything is known other than photos of a sexual nature were exchanged and money has been received.
We don’t even know if that money was for the photos or if it was a blackmail type situation.

I wonder if he is well liked among his peers, do they feel sympathy or are they rubbing their hands together with glee.

He isn’t someone I have had any feelings for before, neither liked or disliked him. Thought he overdid the pomposity. It is quite the shocker.

If that photo is real, he seems a real risk taker. I guess part of the frisson is the chance of getting caught. I wonder if there are other young lads who might have a story to tell too.
