Huw Edwards’ Instagram account has been deleted as of around 5pm today, but his Twitter account is still there.

The naked bum photo has been shared already.

My husband has just come back from our local pub falling over himself with excitement to tell me that the barmaids friend who is gay and in his 20’s “met up” and had a “thing” with HE a couple of years ago. The friend is local to us and my husband knows of him but doesn’t know him personally. Obviously I’m aware that it’s a friends, aunties dogs, cousin type of story and could well just be gossip. I know I’m in the minority in this one but these relationships aren’t always as simple as older richer abuser vs poorer younger victim. I sold sexual favours to an older man with secret kinks when I was 19/20. I’m not proud of it but I wasn’t a victim I just was sensible with the money and didn’t blow it on drugs I never found out who he was in “real-life” but I could probably have destroyed him if I wanted to.

If the young man was under 18 then he’s a victim as by law couldn’t consent to the photos but if not the jury’s still out in my book.

Nothing more reliable than the word of a teen crack addict, who has been selling pics of their genitals, and is no doubt under huge pressure from HE's lawyers.

This is all extremely sad. Terrible for someone's child who is addicted to crack and funding their addiction this way and sad for everyone if it does indeed turn out to be HE because I think everyone thought he was one of the good ones

What I don't understand is how, if you are in the public eye, you risk your entire career and reputation on this sort of stuff but they do, time and time and time again. Makes zero sense to me.

Some are already being cynical about whether the young person's denials through their lawyer can be relied on, but here's the thing: if even the so-called victim, who is an adult, says nothing happened, then this greatly reduces the seriousness of the allegations made by The Sun in absence of any further material information. The Sun has already said in response to the young person's statement, rather sheepishly, that it's now up to the BBC to investigate.

As I've been saying in various comments today, too much has been read into little information and many people here have over-egged the pudding without taking a more reasonable view of the information we have. This doesn't reflect well on us.

Well said. Huw Edwards has literally been branded a paedophile by multiple people on tattle. With absolutely zero evidence. Shameful. They probably still believe it, too.
