I know I’m in the minority in this one but these relationships aren’t always as simple as older richer abuser vs poorer younger victim. I sold sexual favours to an older man with secret kinks when I was 19/20. I’m not proud of it but I wasn’t a victim I just was sensible with the money and didn’t blow it on drugs I never found out who he was in “real-life” but I could probably have destroyed him if I wanted to.

If the young man was under 18 then he’s a victim as by law couldn’t consent to the photos but if not the jury’s still out in my book.

Praying it’s not HE, but I think if it is there’s a huge chance that the worst part is him doing that to his children and wife and the story with the mother/child isn’t as it seems and there’s actually no wrong doing by HE. I think HE could very well be making himself look guilty even if he’s not. As says he has terrible depression, hates social media and is generally private. Maybe he is innocent and doesn’t actually have anything to say.

What has bothered me about this situation is that these older, adult celebrities are sexually exploring with barely legal teenagers and getting away with it because they’ve just turned of a legal age. It’s like they’re picking them fresh off the shelf, they don’t want to pull a Saville if they get caught so they get right close to what is deemed as legal in the hopes they’ll get away with it. To quote what Scofe said not too long ago, it was ‘unwise but not illegal’ - it was just barely legal! And actually there are still questions around that ‘legal’ aspect, that have gone unanswered! But this seems to be what we are seeing now, and this is what is upsetting the public. They’re being clever with their sleezy, almost-predatory ways.

What I don't understand is how, if you are in the public eye, you risk your entire career and reputation on this sort of stuff but they do, time and time and time again. Makes zero sense to me.

I'm not even kidding, I don't feel like I should even like any male celebs any more, because they always turn out to be sleazebags. Everyone from charming actors from my teenage days, to writers and artists I admire, to some guy on the news I thought was an upstanding pillar of society. I don't know if it's worth trusting a male celeb ever again.

All this talk of the BBC presenter scandal and not one single word about the deadline for Johnson to hand over emails, WhatsApp messages and texts etc. Call my cynical (and I hope this doesn't come back to bite me in the a) but whoever the presenter is* is one hell of a scapegoat today.

He must know by now that the bum photograph is circulating - if that was fake I'd expect him to issue a statement refuting it and saying he was getting lawyers in. Like, immediately. The picture's been up for about 24 hours.

Like somebody has already said, it’s irrelevant at this point if HE isn’t named officially. If he isn’t presenting the news at 10 (and all other male presenters are accounted for) that’s as good as naming him surely…

I've seen a few posts concerned for HEs mental heath.

IF it is HE and IF the young person in question is a drug addict, do you think any concern was given about that young lads plight and wellbeing by the person getting their jollies?

Let's say a sexual relationship between a 17 year old and a 60 year old is not illegal, it is from a moral standpoint, horrendous. The power imbalance is bad enough but a public figure using money and status to influence that very young, and therefore potentially vulnerable, person. Nope, nope, nope.

I’ll be watching at 6pm too but I think we’re going to be really disappointed. He’s not going to be named unless he’s charged with something or he comes out and makes a statement himself. And he bloody well should.

At this point, his career is over anyway. Delaying things is only making it worse if you ask me.

He was active on Instagram. Lots of moody posing in suits and in workout gear. Lots. Very self promoting and unnecessary because he was already high profile. He took over the mantle as the nation’s commentator when Dimbely retired.

Just seems so weird that they haven’t released the name despite knowing it will be obvious. Plus without releasing it, the whole situation has been dragged on way more than normal as the whole country sits in suspense.
