that's twice this year I've been totally invested in a big scandal involving a TV presenter only for it to all to get sweep under the carpet. *sigh*

Although there could potentially have been some kind of pay out and I won’t rule it out without evidence, there are also plenty of law firms that would take on a client like this on a pro bono basis because it could be good publicity for them. There are also lawyers working for massive companies on a legal aid basis.

So, just because it’s a big name firm, that doesn’t automatically have to mean there has been a pay off.

Also, for the people wondering where they would find the money if they were paying the lawyers themselves. If the individual has been making a large amount of money selling pictures on OF or another platform, what’s to say that they don’t have more than one person paying them? They could be perfectly happy making money this way and earning enough for a very comfortable lifestyle and all the high powered lawyers they could ever want/need.

I agree and I’m not excusing him. I imagine if he ever does release a statement that he will go with the exact same line as PS. At this stage though, I don’t see the evidence that HE has acted as badly as Schofield.

Indeed. He (it seems anyway) didn't bring his young men to work with him or get them jobs on his show or bring them to awards ceremonies. He didn't get people fired for speaking up about his relationships. He didn't rule the BBC with a rod of iron like Philth seemingly did with ITV. He was allegedly warned before about the DM-ing though. Wasn't a good look befitting a serious newscaster. But no, he's no Schofield. And unfortunately I don't think he'll cope well with all this.
