I wonder if HE split up from his wife a while ago. Before it was deleted I saw no photos of him with his wife. Lots of him posing, looking moody, showing off his body because of working out, his mum, his dog. None of his wife or kids. Could he be out as gay or bisexual to his family and friends etc? And he may have been single for a while?

The only article I could find was this

But never heard of this site and it might not be true. Can’t trust everything you read, as we can all see after what’s gone on today!

Take this article with a pinch of salt though!!!
Oh good god, listen I'm just saying it now, I don't want to be seeing ANY photos of GN's bare ass.....its been a traumatic enough week already

We have absolutely no idea what relations were between the older man and the younger person. As to "very young": this is simply not true is it. The over-egging of this particular pudding is not helping us piece together a clearer picture of the reality. Too many assumptions based on some misplaced morality about an older man buying content from someone younger. People are projecting far too much on all this in absence of more information.
17 is still a child to me, especially with regard to a man in his late 50s

Huw's next move needs to be signing up to Strictly. I can see a Couple's Choice to Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-A-Lot in the offing.

I wonder if he is well liked among his peers, do they feel sympathy or are they rubbing their hands together with glee.

He isn’t someone I have had any feelings for before, neither liked or disliked him. Thought he overdid the pomposity. It is quite the shocker.

If that photo is real, he seems a real risk taker. I guess part of the frisson is the chance of getting caught. I wonder if there are other young lads who might have a story to tell too.
I think if there was they would have come forward already.

Honestly I now think all of this is a storm in a tea cup. I worry about the mental health of both Huw and the young person involved. More concerned for the young person… what a dark place to be in where your Mum has caused all of this after you trusted them with the information.

I don’t think there is anything really on Huw having done anything legally wrong, morally almost certainly though.

I think the money payments were blackmail and I think the Mum was trying to stop the blackmail and didn’t realise how the story would play out. A lot of naivety around this.

It will be interesting to see how the BBC responds because they have a responsibility for Huw and arguably for the young person too.

Not sure how much I believe this latest development. It kind of has echoes of the Phil Schofield and MM saga. Phil claimed during the BBC interview that he and the young runner he groomed were still on speaking terms but we’ve heard from sources close to the runner that ITV have told blatant lies about how they handled their poor excuse of an investigation. Many believe MM is still under Phil’s spell or is being paid off. I think the same could apply here. The young man is a crack addict therefore vulnerable so everything he says needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. I think it’s irresponsible of news networks to report this as absolute fact like I’ve just witnessed the odious Charlene White on ITV News do.

Obviously, we don’t know the circumstances of the relationship between the boy and the mother but why out of all the people she could’ve accused of praying on her son, would she accuse Huw Edwards? Surely it would’ve been more convincing to falsely accuse someone like Schofield, who has already been in the headlines for abusing his position to get a leg over young men. I think if she was a crack addict like her son, then surely The Sun wouldn’t have even entertained her version of events. It also highly likely wouldn’t have prompted a formal investigation into the claims, if they believed she was an unreliable source. I do think there’s at least a degree of truth in her claims. Possibly, Huw/the accused has indeed been subscribed to her son’s OF account but possibly never had any personal contact with the young man,

That being said, The Sun must have been provided with sufficient evidence to run this story so they really need to call the Beeb’s bluff and publish it, otherwise their reputation is about to taken an even bigger nosedive and their personal vendetta against the BBC will look more obvious and desperate than ever.

I do wonder what’s going to happen to Huw now? If it isn’t true, will he just come back presenting as if nothing happened knowing the internet has seen his arse on full display? He strikes me as someone who’d have far more self-respect and dignity than Schofield (arse-flashing aside) so I’d still expect him not to be back presenting the news for a long while, until all of this blows over. That being said, it’s clear that the presenter isn’t going to be officially named as there’s currently no police investigation so if he does leave the BBC it’s going to make it so obvious isn’t it. The BBC however are answerable to the public, which links to the question of how are we supposed to take Huw him seriously as a newreader and journalist when his alleged nudes have been leaked across the internet? Surely the BBC would have to listen to the public’s concerns as opposed to brushing them under the carpet like This Morning did with Schofield.

Overall, I do think the BBC have handled this situation a whole lot better than ITV handled the sorry Schofield mess

Has the kid been paid off? I smell some bs. So we are to believe the sun printed with no proof whatsoever apart from the word of a lunatic woman? Gov minister called in, police called in with no proof or a dodgy fake bank statement? BS

I'm going to put my money on this one, tbh. I think Mum doesn't approve of him or her doing online (and/or in person SW), +/- other "lifestyle" things and he or she has gone no contact. Mum has subsequently gone for the nuclear option with not all the facts completely available to her.

Son or daughter has no moral or other qualms about what they're doing, is perfectly happy with their lifestyle and doesn't want to be dragged into all of this.

At least, I do hope that's the case because if not she's given a false affidavit, and since The Sun could still be in trouble here, I don't think that's going to go well for her.
I think this too. And the mother may 100% believe she is telling the truth because that’s her perception. Which could also be why so many news reports have now mentioned that this wasn’t black and white and I go back to what I said on the previous thread - is it morally dubious if OF involved, absolutely. Did It mean a persons kinks should have been made headline news? Probably not.

and if it is OF, I think it throws up a wider conversation socially about what happens when you destigmatise sex work but no work is done to actually protect or support those from the reality of choosing it as a career.

That Kelvin MacKenzie has deleted his video of him saying HE name! We will never know for 100% who it is…but his name is now tainted until he makes a statement!

I must admit, I shall be watching the evening news/social media with the liveliest interest, because I absolutely bloody love a scandal. I suspect a statement shall be issued imminently. There's obviously something brewing given HE's Instagram has vanished.

I just hope though, in all seriousness, if it isn't him (which looks increasingly unlikely now), he's doing well. He's had well-documented mental health issues before.

I feel like I’ve been hit on the head or had some crazy fever dream these last 24-48hrs this shit is crazy!
So saying the child/now adult is telling the truth, the worst of it, is that some BBC presenter has a kink? The fallout is shocking and their lives are ruined.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m in my 40’s and there is no way on this earth would I go near someone in their teens whether it’s “legal” in the eyes of the law, I don’t care, it gives me the ick.

I’m confused as this story has changed so much

The police aren’t investigating but assessing. That sounds a bit like pedantics!

The denial by the alleged victim why now why not when this story first came out? It looks like they’ve been silenced but I could be wrong,

I don’t think this is the last of the story it doesn’t add up.

I really feel for whoever has been dragged through the mud on this. Got to take my hat off to the 20 year old for trying to make it right.

what a twist

The BBC said that the teenager sent a WhatsApp to The Sun saying it was all rubbish on Friday - is this when the mother reported a call from the presenter?

Not sure how to feel about all of this tbh
