Agreed. I have also sat through her lives and not seen a single nasty comment. I have no idea whether she is seeing a psychologist or counsellor for her anxiety, but if she isn't I really think she should. I love her asmr but this constant victim narrative is offputting.

Same here, I've never seen any hate on her lives or posted in comments. People have previously suggested turning off chat, her response was 'I shouldn't have to'. For a woman in her 40s she's extremely childish. Her own father has called her out on her behaviour, she posted about it, but clearly didn't realise her post only confirmed what her dad was saying. I know her and Nathan are together but their wedding was planned for a couple of yrs ago, suddenly all mentions stopped she took a 6 month break from social media. It must get tiring dealing with the constant need for attention. When Nathan and her mum had covid, she posted, but the wording was so bizzare, more a sympathy post for herself. Laura's ASMR is first class, if it wasn't for that I'd stop watching, because the constant attention seeking becomes tiresome.
Why bother engaging with trolls and letting yourself get stressed and wound up in knots. Just accept it comes with the territory of being in a public platform and ignore. Interacting with them and showing them you're upset only fuels them to spout more poison.
So I’m here to eat my words, a while ago I made a quip about Trisha Paytas doing ASMR. However curiosity got the better of me and I must admit she’s quite good.
I think the troll engagement is really just a means for attention. Why else keep complaining instead of turning off comments or even adjusting your chat filters?

I agree. Brave has posted screenshots of her nasty comments and it’s always someone who is offering some criticism which she takes as rudeness and trolling. I’m sure it’s the same for many others as well. Actually i hadn’t even thought of that in regards to Laura but maybe you’re on to something. Has this gotten worse since this throne service where people can receive gifts came out?
I looked at her ASMR out of curiosity and she is really good at it actually! I have a hard time forgetting how problematic she was and all she's done while watching though. She has kept her promise recently about changing her ways for her child, so far I'm rooting for her.
Does anyone else watch Goodnight Moon because I need to ask you a question. Her two newest videos, do they seem forced/lazy to you? I love Goodnight Moon's Vampire Halloween Makeup Artist video from 3 years ago and her Forest Lodge Hotel video from a year ago is a favorite of mine, however, her two newest "remake" videos just feel off to me. I'm getting the impression that these videos are just made to slap a sponsor on them and she doesn't really care about the quality of her content anymore.
In her forest lodge video from a year ago, she's looking at the camera and interacted like there was another person in the room. The one from 12 days ago, she's looking away a lot, most likely reading a script off screen. Her Vampire Makeup Artist video from 3 years ago, she had hand drawn images to show the viewer, vampire teeth that were adhered to her teeth and she told stories/had banter with the viewer. In her newest Halloween Makeup Video she's printed images off the internet, talks about which makeup she is using likes its an advertisement and that she is "blot, blot blotting" makeup on your face. I had to click off after that blotting comment, it was that awkward for me. Her new content just feels incredibly lazy to me.

I love goodnight moon and I’ve not seen her latest video yet, maybe will check it out tonight but yeah I do feel her content is getting lazy. I’m really invested in her babblebrook series as it’s literally stunning and probably the most amazing piece of asmr cinema out there. I appreciate that it takes time to make these videos and money, but recently a lot of asmrists r getting complacent. Maybe running out of ideas in a very saturated market?
I have noticed this with a few of the people I watch. I used to really like Rapunzel but it feels like she's just repeating or even using other people's ideas (I saw a video she did that obv came from ASMR Zeitgeist like she used his microphone eyes) and it feels like it's lost the heart. Goodnight Moon I think I have noticed this for a little while. Maybe people who have been at it a while are burning out?
I have noticed this as well as some channels going into more sexual content to probably try to compete with all the new artists. One in particular is ASMR Shanny, she’s been going more and more into fetish type of content with feet and BDSM suggestive type of stuff lol. It’s interesting to see from some of these people. Scottish Murmurs and Creative Calm, also though they’ve been down that road a bit longer but it does seem like Scottish has been pushing it further recently.

Ok I thought the same thing! I don't watch her that much anymore but when I have recently it felt... uninspired. It had me wondering if she had always been like this but I went back and looked and you are right. I do think she's burnt out from years of creating but feels pressured to keep going. Think it has happened to a lot of long time creators, the grind just gets to be too much.
I don't watch Rapunzel but from glancing at her channel she just looks like one of those asmrtists that find what's popular that week and recreates it. No real personal ASMR style.
Its so so sad to me that some channels feel the need to become sexual to stand out. As a viewer it just makes me... sad for them. Unless they are into it...? Once you go down that road its hard to get out of it.
Another channel that I watch sometimes is WhisperAudios and she become more, sensual? Sexy in a bond lady way instead of trashy. That kind doesn't bother me.
I think you can tell which channels genuinely enjoy being on the sexy side and which ones are trying to get attention in all the competition. There are some scary results when you search for ASMR roleplays lol

Honestly same. She used to have a really warm vibe. Now she kinda creeps me out. Some of the anime characters she roleplays are underage also which is weird with the fetish vibe.

I guess it depends on your definition of classy. Raw cleavage and 'mouth sounds' (use your imagination as to what they sound like) don't seem too classy to me. Almost one year ago exactly, she was mocking some (rude and stupid) man who emailed her to suggest she do girlfriend roleplays and sex it up in her vids, giggling with all her followers about such gross ideas... just recently she put out a Patreon vid as a wife welcoming her husband home in a boobie shirt. And now the people going 'wait a moment luv' are the ones getting dragged. Most of her fans are respectful and encouraging but she seems to take that one bad comment out of a hundred personally and go looking for head-pats.
I say this as a longtime fan too, and I know she's gotta make money to cover the atrocious price surges over there. There are definite signs that she's not really enjoying this new direction, like with the things she's retweeting. If I had a magic lamp i'd wish for her to find a million pounds and not have to make any content she doesn't want.
On a positive note, I really like SemideCoco's channel, she has such a warm personality and her videos are very relaxing!
