I feel like I am in a bit of a ASMR no mans land, none of my regular 'go to's' are working for me at the mo. Can anyone recommend someone new to me?

I like BBBY, Lonely Office and Latte mainly but I am not that into whispers (Gibi et al ) and I like a lot of office/paper pushing.

SophieMichelle made a video recently talking about her online stalking experience, about a guy who sent her huge sums of money electronically and would write her long, rambling emails, the content of which clearly showed he was mentally unstable. He seemed to be a fundamentalist Christian who spoke about Jesus a lot and said that Sophie was his wife, he put her name and details down on his bank account so his bank info was coming to her email address and he said that he would take her with him to heaven which worried her so she contacted the police. They, of course, said that they couldn't do anything unless an actual crime was committed (read, until someone got hurt) so she felt very helpless.

that's absolutely horrifying - like horror movie level shit....wtf. I hope she is safe???

Alright, well, not 'intentional' ASMR but Nomad Barber and Haircut Harry both cater to the ASMR crowd and have some pretty good videos. RelaxWithReena also has some good spa/beauty vids... I'd suggest more but that's actually the category I know the least about!

I can do a 3x3 recommendation, three different artists in three different genres:

Classic stuff from the old days: Queenofserene, WhispersRed, SoulRepose ASMR... all very classy ladies with a super comforting vibe
High production value/artistic stuff: Ardra Neala, ATMOSPHERE, Moonlight Cottage...these people are all incredible with props, lighting, concepts, etc!
Good roleplays: Chili B, SensoryBySophie, Whisperaudios... Chili is a couple that basically 'remix' classic unintentional ASMR vids and make them even better, Sophie does a mix of 2 person roleplays and first-person POV stuff, and despite my misgivings about her recent money-hungry self, WA has some absolutely stellar stuff, like her latest hand exam roleplay and her hilarious vampire series

For anyone considering taking out paid memberships to their favourite ASMR artists, if they have a JOIN button on their YouTube account, please be aware, that quite a few people have had issues, this isn't actually under the control of the influencer. Those who joined via PayPal received refunds within hours of raising a complaint. I just wanted people to be aware

I like Tony Bomboni but he had way too many mid-video ads at one point and I stopped watching. I'm not sure if that's still the case. In terms of soft spoken, male ASMR, I've been loving Larin ASMR lately, so maybe check him out. I'm very picky with male ASMRtists though - I'm not sure what it is about men's voices but usually I find women's voices work better. There are definitely some exceptions to that rule though! Mr Phoenix ASMR is good but not very similar to Tony Bomboni at all - his stuff is usually very unintelligible. SRP ASMR is great too and is more soft spoken.

I liked Phoenix ASMR until his recent neediness on insta, he did a few posts complaining that nobody likes his posts (pictures of himself) and flounced off but now seems to be posting (pictures of himself) pretty much daily.

I’m watching lots of whispers red at the moment. And I like nefertiti - when she speaks French my brain fizzes.
My fave artist river has stopped making ASMR deleted his videos and started concentrating on his royal gossip channel. Gutted.

MinxLaura123 was one of first ASMRtists that I got into but it feels like the quality of ASMR videos has gone up and up and up and she’s just churning out the same half arsed low quality crap.

Yeah same, I remember when her videos from 10 years ago were new... I always liked her videos as I don't care for ASMR with all the fancy equipment/props but it's like she went from being dedicated and wanting to improve to where she's at now, like she's stuck in a rut and can't be bothered. I watch Lila Rose ASMR and IslaASMR and think Laura could be making vids like that, a pretty simple setup but still good quality

Honestly... if she owned that she enjoys that kind of attention then cool? im all for it, show your body and be sexual, but she is so weird about how she does. like she doesn't want to Own up to her need of being seen as desirable and hot, but when she wants views shell pose sexily with a broom lmao.. I think she is in denial about what she is really like and takes herself way too seriously. she practically shamed someone for sex work on instagram but she should be in solidarity as a former sex worker and she still pretty much is using her body to invite attention/views....

its weird because her older videos all have lots of likes and dislikes, i didn't even know it was possible to turn that off on youtube, I assume it means she was getting loads of dislikes

you can hide likes and dislikes, just like how some you tubers will hide their subscriber count. she's probably started getting some dislikes and couldn't handle it lol

So many ASMR you tubers start off so well and then become greedy, Julia is one, Char ASMR is another, she has gone down the only fans route, she made a new channel on YT for non explicit content, that lasted about a month, now she's back to the seedy content again, it's such a shame, because her ASMR is amazing. Sex obviously sells and it means less input for more money
