I think she’s afraid he might kick up a fuss etc but I’ve seen so many comments saying she’s causing future problems for herself by doing this, she has no clue really. She panders to him so much like yes obviously with a tiny baby you should but he can’t sleep at all away from her and still wakes hourly for a feed, and now he can’t sit in a car without her glued beside him with toys? Does she not ever wonder what parents did before all these new baby gadgets were invented? I honestly can’t believe she spent that long drive letting the child watch YouTube on her phone. At his age I’d imagine they don’t need to be 100% entertained and stimulated at all times, surely being in the car would have been enough, bit of lullaby music and he’s asleep?? Or am I way off? It’s just unheard of in my family or any friends kids etc and I can’t decide if she’s just doing far too much or we all didn’t do enough 😂
I think devices for long journeys can be life savers. But only as last resort! I understand that they don’t drive every day, and babies who aren’t in the car every day, quite often can be upset in cars, but that’s why you normally plan long journeys around nap times, or overnight. With my first one I did sit in the back for longer journeys just because it’s easier than having to stop etc, but with my second one, I didn’t even sit in the back on the way home from the hospital 😂

yeah she posted “what not to do” and then followed on with a photo of him on the bath literally 24 hours later 🤨

...and continues to!
I’m so glad someone else remembers that!!!

It was a full on rant about it and then bam, posts exactly the type of photo she warned about and continues to.

So she’s either really that thick.... actually was only trying to make content and didn’t really car that much..:::: orrrrr she spend an hour trying to make content without her child in it and reloaded it was too hard, all her old content streams are dead as she’s a mum in a relationship now and no DJ , tv work etc. So blammmmmmm cash cow baby content a go go.

I get that toddlers are likely to want a bit of entertaining on a long car journey but he’s what, five months old?! He’ll just fall asleep if you give him the chance! God knows why she feels the need to sit next to him.

You can see in the most recent car seat post on her stories that the straps are too loose AGAIN!!!!!! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhh!!!!
For Gods Sake - spend less time worrying about what gadget to buy to entertain your child and spend A LOT MORE time worrying about car safety cause you know it may lead to severe injury, disability and even death by NEGLIGENCE of parents to not.strap.your.child.in.correctly!!!!

I do not get the YouTube in the car thing. I can be a lazy parent but I’d only resort to them playing on my phone if they were kicking up a fuss. Poor kid will have square eyes!

must admit I do like the promotion of breastfeeding though. I know she can be a bit much with it but it’s nice to see someone showing how lovely it can be.
it’s not common to breastfeed where I live, most people bottle feed.

Yes!! And all the weaning tit.. she’s meeting an expert in weaning don’t you know!
Of course she is 🙄 Gifted no doubt, then before we know it she’ll be giving it all “guys I’d really recommend you all booking a weaning expert”. Read the room Ashley, we’re all on stat mat pay, we can’t afford that kind of luxury, we just get on with it.

Exactly! Literally can’t afford to pay for an expert in everything! I’m broke financially! Got to use something called common sense (which I’m not sure they have) and a bit of trial and error and except we’re not perfect in every aspect of parenting. He will be refusing every lovingly homemade thing you put in front of him before long anyway 😂 I looked at one of her dresses the other day as I quite liked it... then saw the price tag...

I’ve never posted on here before but my goodness this woman is infuriating!
She is so contradictory (e.g. with the safety of posting your child online and then posting him naked in the bath) and now with the weaning thing. So I’m letting my 5 month old have a twister (surely the worst thing to let him taste first as all weaning experts advise bitter tastes at first) but it’s ok because I’m going to see a weaning expert tomorrow!! I used to like her but honestly she’s so self righteous since she became pregnant.

I messaged her when she was going on about the postnatal mot and doula and said that it's not relatable to most mothers as its not something we can all afford and she just replied that its only £16 an hour for the doula and I shouldn't be so bitter!

Can’t wait for her to suddenly be lecturing us all on weaning and sharing all her knowledge, classic Ashley James, clueless one minute and an expert the next 🙄🙄🙄

She says weaning isn’t what she thought it was, wonder what her original thoughts were?

Having his first tastes now. Always seems to be in a rush to grow up, was being propped up very early, in a jumperoo at 3 months and they’ve always got him on his toes trying to practice walking

I dunno just let him be a baby?

I find it really irresponsible that a “weaning expert” would encourage her to give him his first tastes. There is absolutely NO NEED. He’ FOUR MONTHS OLD.

I appreciate some babies need to be weaned early when told so by a medical professional, but the fact she posted the other night they will be waiting till 6 months until they wean him yet let him suck on an ice lolly and try puréed food is just ridiculous.

they really are trying to force him to grow up much earlier than he is ready. I don’t know anyone that would let a 3/4 month old sit on their shoulders, or pull them up by their arms to standing.

Why anyone would want to start weaning before they have to I don’t know I personally hated it - all the messy clothes, the waste, the tears, the rejection of stuff I’d made, the trying to find the right time of day, think of different ideas... I could go on 🤣

also you don’t need an ‘expert’ for every little thing. Maybe she thinks he will sleep through more that he’s eating which doesn’t follow anyway

ahh just seen Annabell Karnak ffs 🤦‍♀️

The screenshot of that DM makes my heart hurt. There is nothing wrong with that message. Parenting is hard and the challenges come in waves but ouch i feel that share was mean.
