Ashley looks a broken man, poor guy. Saf has hardly said a word, just sitting there nodding and bouncing away sitting on the sofa.

I wasn't going to comment, but I need to. I lost my baby boy in 2009, I grieved so hard. I lost friends because I couldn't cope without speaking about him, I always saw signs from him, I looked for anything that would give me comfort. I wrote cards to family members and signed his name. Please just leave them be... Unless you have felt this pain you have no right to comment. Having been there I have never once looked and thought it's inappropriate how they are conducting themselves, the funeral and party looked beautiful to me... I wish I could have celebrated my boys life instead of feeling like I was ready to leave and be with him.

Watching the interview now, I think their hearts are in the right place. Unfortunately their egos and brains aren’t.
I do want to give the the benefit of the doubt and say that everything they do is out of desperately wanting keep their daughter’s memory alive - but there’s something slightly icky that’s bugging me.

I think the reason she never said a word was because she was trying to hold herself together because if she spoke out she would crumble. You can see just from looking at her that she is a broken woman. She carried her beautiful baby girl for 9 months and then watched her die slowly for the 8 months she was alive. I wouldn’t be able to speak on live tv about that experience if it was me. I think the nodding and bouncing was nerves! If you follow her you’d already know she is riddled with anxiety. I think she’s a remarkable person, they both are.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope my comment wasn’t too out of line, I was just making an observation. I don’t wish to upset anyone!
I totally understand what you mean, everyone deals with grief in their own way, I hope to never have to experience it myself.
I admire the fact they are raising awareness for childhood cancer, it’s real & it’s happening all the time, the signs need to be more understood.

It's fine honestly, I just wanted to give some insight into my grief. I'm 12 years in now and alot better... It just takes time. I'm hoping at some point they will both feel like they can enjoy life again. X

I hate all the let's go champ and your so strong your going to fight this and beat it rhetoric around cancer. That cancer is bigger and more aggressive than us all.
No one loses when they die they are no longer in pain and finally at peace.
No amount of motivational speeches and videos from the rock will save you that was purely for Ashley only.

We have all been touched by cancer we are all aware of cancer and I didn't need to see a baby dying to know how tit it is. It wasn't about awareness or documenting.

Everytime I feel sorry for either of them I remember that poor babies face.

Sadly, I agree. What does the "let's go champ" even mean? I also totally agree that they must be absolutely broken, but some things should be kept private, and that beautiful little girl should have had her final days protected at all costs.

So sorry for your. Loss. I think u are Incredible for still breathing through this. It's the most horrendous thing that can happen is to lose a child. Maybe I'm an idiot but I support them. I think the charity will be great

I know I’ve said it before but I just want to scoop Saff up. I wish Ashley would. Anything…Grab her, hug her, comfort her. She looks so vulnerable and lost. I understand the begging on Insta is distasteful but she just looks so broken. I can’t even begin to imagine for one second what they are going through.

I don’t know why I have looked again at this thread because I disagree with so much of it. I lost my son 6 years ago and for months, years even afterwards I would look for signs and reasons to try and understand why I was still alive and he wasn’t. Even though I knew I could never understand because they was no reason. Wishing I was dead too and losing my identity as his mum that had consumed my being for so long. Maybe you don’t agree with the way they are grieving so then don’t watch and don’t comment out of faux concern. Childhood cancer is messy, there is blood, vomit and it is not dignified, that is the reality of it. The charity is there way of trying to find purpose, to find a reason to keep living in a world that makes no bleeping sense. In time they may have other purposes too but the criticism on what I see is two broken parents trying to get through a tragedy is cruel.

I did also notice the sliders but my first thought was that they are fake! She has showed some stuff previously that wasn’t real so that was my initial assumption but I’m not an expert!

They’re fakes, its not what actual LV sliders look like

To be fair to them, the hotel will have been paid for by Lorraine's production if they were on tv this morning. Sliders - not important. I think the foundation could be fantastic and they’ll do some brilliant fundraising. With it being so raw and so well known, lots of people will want to support and do something to add to the funds that will eventually be distributed in whatever way they’ve chosen. I don’t think A&S will be taking a salary from it and if people are worried they can look at the accounts that will be made public around autumn 2022 (I think, could be year after)

I thought so. That was my point. I think it’s easy to jump to the conclusion straight away that they are “fleecing” the charity or taking huge payouts from it but insta isn’t always as it seems!

The charity has the foundations to be amazing so I’m thinking on the positives of all these poorly children it will hopefully help, I will focus on them and the life they could gain from it and listening and to their stories, I know there will be fundraisers but to me this is about them and not the attention Ashley’s going to get for riding 2000 and more miles

People who donated to the fundraiser, is there no way to get your money back? Considering it hasn’t been spent on what it was set up for… in my eyes isn’t it abit like fraud?

because yes it would have been spent on treatment like they said but it wasn’t suitable in the end so surely to spend it on anything else is deceiving.
Most fundraisers of this nature would caveat that if the funds can't be spent on treatment it goes to xyz... you need to open to this possibility when you donate surely. I donated, but I'm sure like most wasn't surprised that the treatment couldn't go ahead, it was obvious that there was a strong possibilty that she might not be able to go. It is only fraud if the original intention was never actually for it to be spent on her treatment and I don't believe that was the case - I genuinely believe it was set up in good faith to help save her life.

Yes I do to and as long as it goes to help sick children then that’s fine I don’t even care if my £20 goes on buying them McDonald’s as long as the child’s smiling then so be it
