Good idea , you don’t want any of them turning up to the house
But the Foundation is the vehicle for distributing the funds, which they will do. They can’t hold on to the money, it will be distributed in time but they aren’t going to be able to select projects, charities and families overnight. I expect we will see lots of cheque presentations like the Birmingham one in the coming months and probably over the course of the full year. It’s great the bike ride is adding to the pot because it means more and more funds to distribute
He looked genuinely overwhelmed at that pit stop. I hope that side of him shows more, especially towards Safiyya

To me her mum needs to do whatever she can to put whatever has happened in the past (for now at least) and just be there for Saf. Apologise, forget what has been said and done and just be there. Even if it’s just to sit in silence with her or to hug her, whatever. She needs her Mum. Looking back on her Instagram they were clearly very close. I know we don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors, her mum might be trying to reach out and Saf is shutting her out but still. I can’t bare to see her just shuffling around on her own

It is so difficult to watch for Saf. Of course she was both their child and in no way do I disrespect Dads but to carry your child, birth your child traumatically is so hard and then watch your child battle cancer and die is just cruel and I feel like she’s been forgotten a bit because he’s already an iota of famous.

Anyway, I was having a lovely BBQ in Queens Square, and it was full of young Mums and orange balloons.. I was quite confused for a time tbh. A couple of hours and a round of applause later, I figured it out when Ashley cycled in.
Honestly, they all flocked around him like he was the messiah. I left around 40 minutes ago and they were still there, standing in the dark trying to get his attention.

I’m glad they’re getting the support in each stop but I dunno it makes me cringe like duck at the same time 
like if it was happening in my town I’d happily donate to the foundation online but I wouldn’t be going down to greet them. Maybe that’s just me and I’m a bleep lol

But as was mentioned yesterday how’s this bike ride been funded, I know it has a sponser but that wouldn’t fund everything
People do lands end to John o’groats for charity aaaaall the time, I know someone doing it right now and they are a couple of days ahead of Ashley, it doesn’t cost the earth and a sponsor probably WILL cover all of not most of it. That’s the whole point of a sponsor and if businesses are happy to gift them a room along the way to raise their own profile then so be it, most cyclists have to do shack up in cheap b&bs every night
