Phodkhast #8 - 7 Things I Wish I Knew in My 20s

In another failed attempt to be relatable, Anna Bey nee Aija Raty, fills 53 minutes of airtime with things she wishes she knew in her 20s - before diving in Anna admits there are WAAAY more than 7 things she wishes she knew, however she wants to keep this episode “short and digestible”.

The intro for the podcast is like a bad sales pitch for a self-transformation course: Anna wants to help people become a better person. Looking back, she wishes she knew these things earlier to have her successes earlier in life. She blabs on and on about tit, as she is prone to do, no regrets, everything happens for a reason - just get to the bleeping point Anna!

Anna’s really passionate about “Transformation” (ie. MONEY) in the School of Affluence, so she blabs about your past, your patterns, self-growth - really laying down the foundations for selling her next course and alluding that she is an “expert in her field”…

Without further ado, here are the basic knowledge drops that can be found on Pinterest: (and times may be off as I listened to 1.5x podcast because it's just so goddamn boring)

05:00 - #1 “It’s OKAY to be DISLIKED” I suppose Anna is currently struggling with not being accepted and liked by all. Apparently she lost sleep over people not liking her. Then she tries to make you “set yourself free” by repeating that “it’s okay when people don’t like you”

09:20 - #2 “Men who GHOST, Adios Amigo” Anna urges women not to be desperate (but she’s not shaming!) giggles nervously about making more mistakes while fixing other mistakes…. goes back to point #1 - we hate being rejected… Anna goes off on tangents about women accepting men’s wrong behaviour…. set boundaries - she reads a “message from a follower” about chasing a man…. I think it’s made up - it’s never the woman’s fault if the man’s ghosted, Anna brings up “the famous Miranda quote from sex and the city, ‘He’s not that into you’”… it’s a goddamn dating and relationship book Anna. She then states that dating should be like a competition (maybe, The Bachelor?) with multiple "candidates"... OKAY

21:20 - #3 “Why Didn’t She Start Earlier with Therapy?” Anna doesn’t care if YOU don’t care about therapy, she doesn’t care, she doesn’t care if you’re sick of hearing about therapy, she doesn’t care! She never regrets, but she does regret not going to therapy earlier. Apparently her therapist is to blame for everything in her life now, as when she needs support she goes to therapy. Therapy, therapy, therapy….

25:30 - #4 “Be careful who you become friends with” Anna Bey recommends to always be on your watch, but not in “paranoid mode” when it comes to making friends. >> Anna, LOOK IN THE MIRROR - you attract what you put out - you’re a crappy person who attracts crappy friends. You’re welcome. >> The rambling here is incessant about human beings and friends and intuition…

32:40 - #5 “Ladies it’s not about being the prettiest woman in the room, it’s truly about being the most irresistible one” It’s about confidence, charisma, charm, etc… In our 20s we’re insecure…. “don’t forget, people like different things” Anna’s wisdom knows no bounds. Don’t forget - we need to work on our inner self (and luckily she has a course to help you with this!)

37:00 - #6 “Wish she knew more about Elegance, and that Elegance is NOT just for Old People” - we “*all* know that Anna is the modern elegance spokesperson” She actually “developed” different Elegant Style Personalities (she created a quiz! fun, right?) Go to stylepersonalityquiz.com to find a style personality that YOU are - and so she can get your email for future course drops!!!! Also, that link takes you to: https://www.messenger.com/t/annabeyofficial (which states she’s a “personal coach”)- And you click “Get Started” to get a real link. OK… FUNNEL MARKETING >> don’t do it, it’s a trap!

42:10 - #7 “You don’t have to stress about Mr Right and *when* he will COME…” Anna again is so far removed from reality of the modern woman - the modern woman is not desperate, we’re too busy in our careers, making friends, and creating experiences… Very old school way of thinking Anna…Anna shares a SECRET: The tool Anna uses to get over the stress of waiting for Mr Right, “Anna Bey Hack”: GO TO AN ASTROLOGIST. So not only THERAPY but also obsessed with ASTROLOGY and how planets influence us and our lives.

49:40 - I’m Anna Bey and I’m casual and want us to connect on a casual conversation about different viewpoints… Course is still closed, but get on the waiting list to notify when we open up doors - subscribe on youtube! subscribe to the podcast!

“School of Affluence” is mentioned: 2
Plain Jane mentioned: 1 time
Therapy is mentioned: 47 times

Anna Bey is also putting out the message that as she’s older, she’s wiser and somehow “better” than when she was younger.
***********
Oh my god, I don’t know how longer I can do this. It’s mind-numbing. She rambles and goes off on tangents - and I can just picture the females who are listening to this going “OMG she’s SO right!” and my eyes are just rolling out of my head.

** I listen to so many other podcasts that actually provide a point of view and teach me something, or bring up a point of view, in 30 mins or less.
Thank you for sacrificing your ears and well being for our little community!

I read the blog posts of jetsetbabe stored on the drive (you, girls, did such a work gathering and organising everything).
And I am mesmerized! She seemed genuinely nice back then, expressing her thoughts, insecurities, oscillating between the jetset dreams and her regular life.
She admits she doesn't have that life (although aspiring to it), that she shops mostly from Zara because she's saving and that most men mistreated her as she didn't have much experience with men.
She used to answer to most comments, trying to set connections with the more experienced 'jetset babes'. But at the same time, she was saying that this lifestyle was an illusion, that it won't make you happy, that people (payers) WILL take advantage of their position, so it is BETTER to be able to finance this lifestyle yourself. She seemed like a confused little girl torn between two worlds.
I don't know about escorting/ sugaring. I think she seemed the type unexperienced and not able to play men. She said that she won't date men with no ambitions (rich or poor :)) like few years ago. I know that one girl on the forum confirmed, though, that she indeed was an escort. But maybe not a good one?
It says on the blog that she wanted to do greater things in life to be independent and free, so she found her way. I doubt she is financed by her man (maybe just pocket money, but not anything really important). Interesting troubled character is she.

Im still missing some dates though.
Can anyone share the link of the old blog articles where shes talking about the Paris Hilton thing? It is not in her stories about my life articles.

That was my thoughts too lol! Its very obvious.

Exactly Olivia! I knew there were more girls. Just forgot the name. She is ukrainian or so right? I wonder if the ex mods would join in here.... I can imagine they have a lot of tea!!
Nothing for them to gain. You ONLY lose if you associate yourself with her brand right now. Probably whichever mods left already feel maybe they wasted their time plus effort on her. Especially since it’s a scam. If not this kind of scam it’s like doing charity work. But in this “charity” your time got used to fraud people. Very wrong on many levels.

Olivia plus two/three other was using their real profile pic plus they have real world experience. So IMO they gave her groups credibility that ANNA couldn’t give.

Not surprised they want to keep distance from Anna now.

That post clearly wasn’t written by her as her Written English is terrible.
I doubt she herself responded, the copywriter did.

she is a cold business woman.
She is not anybody’s friend or part of this community.

she has a limited window to extort money from vulnerable plain women and she cash in on this.

she (and other “matchmakers” eg Vida consultancy - that she worked for) are all the same.

they sell dreams, take a lot of money and never deliver!

they cannot deliver on finding you an affluent man because affluent men do not need them!!!

affluent men log in to apps that are convenient and free and meet loads of women.

they dont need matchmakers or coaches.

it’s very easy for them.

Yes that makes sense! They are better off without her in their life. All this cannot end good for them in the long run.
how do you know they had real experience? Icannot remember one of them had much public on their accounts. Any IG accounts known?

Big thanks to the lady who recommend Pyunkang Yul. I bought a ton of Korean skincare on your recommendation, especially sunscreen, and just love it. Tempted to post a shelfie to troll Aija now. 😂

I don't think she had copywriters for her blog jetsetbabe, she was just a 'plain Jane', aspiring to acquire the lifestyle but never managed.

I don't think she has such terrible English, either. Ok, for a 'coach', she could improve. But in many European countries (France, Swirzerland even), people barely speak English, so compared to them, she's not that bad. Plus she has to have basic vocabulary, as most of her 'students' to be able to understand and follow her.

Thank you so much! I just moved to a hot/dry place and aged 5 years overnight. I chose essence toner, moisture serum and moisture ampule. I bought a Missha gel sunscreen which unfortunately included alcohol denat, so not sure I should use it? I ordered the mermaid and klairs sunscreens you recommended, and thinking to try the watery oil drop, supple skin toner, and maybe something else? I have two EltaMD creams on the way too, but they seem to be taking a month to arrive. I wish I knew more about skincare. 😂

I can confirm she interviewed copywriters about a year ago because she interviewed me. But I can't spill too much tea about it for fear she will figure us out.

Moisture ampoule, unlike the name suggests, should be applied near the end of the routine. It is a bit weird but I am obsessed with the moisture and glass skin it provides.
Essence toner is lovely too and klairs unscented supple toner is amazing for several skins (i don't do 7, though.
Yes, I don't like denat alcohol in my skincare and don't understand why would they include it, maybe you can use it on your body.

I know she has copywriters now, I meant back then, in the jetsetbabe blog era.

Oh no worries, I was confirming your observation - she didn't have copywriters back then, because she had to hire them now! :) I made the mistake with the moisture ampoule the first day, haha. Everything sticky. But it does seem to be really nice! :)

But that was recent and she was interviewing for course materials or other School of Affluence related stuff. I remember the ads and I almost applied myself. The old JetsetBabe posts were written back in 2014, her early days in London. She was blogging about affording Zara and budgeting, so it doesn't exactly align with the mindset of hiring a copywriter.
Also, she actually enjoys writing (even though her style or English is not perfect). She used to post from a certain hotel lounge in Knightsbridge (next door to where she lived) a lot about hanging out there during the day and writing. There was also a girl named Nat who would join her occasionally - most likely they did not stay in touch as she had herself a career in theatre going on.

She was Nat Yesufu on Facebook I believe. She was in television, no? Found her quite snotty and arrogant just like Anna is now.

By the way, if you guys want to speak about skincare among yourselves, maybe keep it to private messages as it isn't really anything to do with the thread and Anna.

Haha yes, it's a bit sticky, but it absorbs quite quickly. Their weirdest one is the balancing gel, I haven't seen in my life such texture but you get used to it. They have maximum 7 ingredients (no nasties) and you get hooked in the long term.
I'd actually like to become an influencer some day on skincare 😍 but for sure, I won't have Anna's strategy. 🤣🤣🤣

The weird thing is, the writing didn't noticeably improve after she conducted these interviews.

I went through the juvenile quiz of Aija Raty

Do you think this will be a paid subscription and her will students fall into that trap? Cause she claims with a shy emoji that you can cancel anytime the SMS service

Omg definitely. Affiliate marketing level 2. 😂

Wow she has lost the plot. Every single avenue is being pursued. And no one knows that when you give her your info or email that you'll be bombarded forever with sell sell sell!
