I'm reveling in the clothing fiasco! Please never stop Tattling šŸ™

I was scrolling on Pinterest, and the algorithm recommended Anna's "How to Look Expensive" cheatsheet. These were the comments.

Anna Bey has squeezed the last of her average Joe husband's savings. Will they ever recover?

Even the people who commented (and had their comments deleted) notice that Anna Bey deletes the comments (see the last attached screenshot). Looks like this whole clothing line could finally sink the whole ship.

Also itā€™s interesting she doesnā€™t have a returns address stated, in the UK at least under the Consumer Contracts Regulations (CCR), legally you have to give clear information about the geographical address of the trader and, if different, the geographical address of their place of business. So that if you make a purchase and return youā€™re not hit with the shock of returning the item to China etc and incurring the cost. I wonder where her returns location is!

Though perhaps Anna says it will be sent out from NL so that all blame if anything goes wrong with the shipment can be laid upon the third party.
I love buying from small brands, they put so much thought into their product - even for small things, like a 30 eur yarn order the seller had added nice little extras to my order, like some candy, stickers and a cute little tin of hand cream. That was an unexpected surprise. I wonder if Anna's stuff will be shipped out in Shein style plastic mailers, to be ''sustainable''.
In her video about the items she didn't show any packaging, so I wonder if she doesn't have any. Maybe I am all wrong and everything will be carefully folded into layers of greyge tissue paper, topped with green juice candies and tiny pinprick size samples of BR.
THIS!!

All this gaps shows little to no effort, resulting in many missed opportunities. Is showing how she doesn't have access to high end products at all, because by now she should know how this works at least from a customer perspective.

Miss WAnnaBey missed the opportunity to profit from common courtesy. She could have simply written a note once and printed it a thousand times. The effect of a thank-you "handwritten" note on customers would've given her loads of mentions on Instagram from her followers, along with many other little things that I won't bother mentioning since I have no intention of giving her any ideas. If she needs help, she'd better consider hiring a marketing specialist.

Indeed! That website is nothing but vague, a mix of "one in a lifetime opportunity" vs "don't miss the next drop"

Didn't she say just yesterday that there won't be any more dresses produced? I bet she'll say in a week that everything is sold out, and she'll "release more pieces" (i.e the same unsold dresses) a week later.

Dear Mrs. Piggyā€™s clothing line and ā€œteachingsā€ being dragged on Reddit šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ the video was about another European tiktok ā€œeleganceā€ expert who ALSO sells courses & clothing, saying how brown lipliner and clear gloss isnā€™t elegant or classy, yet she only used black women as examples when those colors are nude for us.

The fact she is only doing one season is very telling that sheā€™s hoping itā€™s a quick check in and she is desperate for money!
Well, I visited her website again, and despite her insisting it's a one-off operation, apparently there will be a next drop??
---
she'd better consider hiring a marketing specialist.
... But she said she has studied marketing, and even introduces herself as working in marketing, when she introduces herself to new people, she said...

My dear eleganth ladiez, the ship is finally sinking.

I miss some of the old members, but I would say, I have a juicy contribution for those who are still lurking in the shadows.

Anna has said over and over that she allegedly has an office, which address has been listed as Boulevard Georges-Favon 43, 1204 Geneva, Switzerland.

This is public information available here https://annabeyshop.com/pages/privacy-policy

I have never seen convincing photos of this "office" (neither of her assistant, or cars, or husband, or anything really?). From my point of view, she kind of has some type of corporate flat and the infamous "Audi lounge".

Some months and research on my end, I have found that Anna likely has no office there.
I will state the proof below, simply pointing out public information that anyone with Google can find.

If you check on Google maps this address, there are many dodgy businesses listed there, including this site.

What is "Fiduciaire Amedia" with its stunning 3.7 stars reviews? Well, it is a company that offers "Financial and marketing services", including address registration for companies in Geneva...

https://fiduciaire-suisse.com/en/business/

1690282655887.png

This is a common service offered in Europe and the USA whenever a company still has no office but needs an address for taxes / registration purposes.

What I mean by this? It is entirely possible that Anna at the moment has no office and is using the service of this random company to set his " Bey International SA" address there.

I wonder how Anna is going to try to "prove us wrong" now, will she return to a temporary place to record some snippets of "her office" again?:sneaky: Will she hire a new random lady to be her assistant for a day?

On the other hand, Bey International SA has been registered as some type of "Educational services company".

Dear Anna, are you invoicing your overpriced Aliexpress dresses with the same tax number? Do you think you can scam out the Swiss authorities?

I seriously think that Anna owes me compensation for all the free advise during all those month, personally I think my job is done here.

It was clear that she bought a few items for a photoshoot and everything else went off to a warehouse, as returns are shipped to a warehouse in The Netherlands.
The big question is, if Miss WAnnaBey has no access to the garments itself how can customer satisfaction be attained?!
Well, it cannot! There's will be no posts about chuffed customers showcasing Anna Bey's garments, no beautifully crafted boxes with her brand either...
The website is nothing but word salad - clearly not written by a legal team, it's all smoke and mirrors.

Our laydee has caused herself more headache and drama than she expected with her ''line''. Even her followers are criticising her, when in the past it was all praise. She got her price point so wrong, thinking that if Chanel etc can charge so much, why can't she? But Banana forgets that the large luxury brands have a long established history, a lot of financial backing and what is most important, a devout brand following. People will still buy Chanel bags no matter how many price raises they do. Sure, Chanel may lose some customers, but they will always have plenty.
Anna Bey thinks that she is just as established and has the same clout as other known brands in her price range.
I had a poke around her Returns info for her store.
The language used is quite confusing. I couldn't find the spot that @Siena found, but I went for the obvious returns section that any Banana follower would find.
Here are some gems, all qouted text from her site in bold:
Youā€™ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. ===== Wouldn't the customer have an order number? What does she mean by proof of purchase? Bank statement? Usually most retailers include a returns sheet with your order, then you simply mark what you want to send back. But oh no, Banana returns are not easy, mangoes!

If your return is accepted, weā€™ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. ==== So the customer has to email Banana and ask to be allowed to return the items. Unlike for many retailers, one cannot just send stuff back to the laydee's store. At Banana's price point there should be an easy, no questions asked returns process.

Return expenses for refunds or exchanges are the responsibility of the customer. === For my Eastern European country, this is also the returns policy of Shein. However, designer retailers like Luisa Via Roma and Netaporter offer free returns for the customers. And much less confusion. I would imagine she has made the returns process so confusing to ensure as few people as possible try to return stuff. Usually people are lax with returns if it is a cheap Shein item and the shipping needs to be paid. But for a 400 euro dress I'd expect free returns with no questions asked at all. That would be klaasy customer service.

Oh oh oh. Using the wrong tax codes in European countries (and in the rest of the world, I assume) will definitely get you in trouble.

According to the following link, she could end up either in prison or paying a juicy fine:

It's just another sign that there's no legal team behind all of this.
At the landing page, it should be under returns but it's actually under privacy.

As today, T&C's are under "Version of 28 June 2023", being open to interpretation - this can be changed at any given time which goes against consumer protection policy, seems like Anna Bey's begging for a lawsuit.

Note that Anna Bey doesn't mention a prepaid return label like reputable brands would:

Meaning whoever falls for it has to deal with all the costs, she's not even trying here. It's all about profit.
The garments are overpriced and everything is paid by the customer, this is not a brand and thankfully it takes five minutes to realise, hence all the criticism.

But looking older is not the only thing that would upset me if I were her. It's HOW she looks - all the procedures have made her look like a cheap escort. I don't understand how she cannot see that. I am certain that the locals in Geneva perceive her exactly this way. During my numerous trips to Switzerland in recent years, I have learned that the Swiss are tasteful and rather conservative, her look is the exact opposite of that (despite the granny style. Her clothes scream 'granny' but her face screams 'a h.o.o.k.e.r'). One look at her and every stranger in the street must think; 'cheap escort'. No wonder she cannot blend in with the locals.
Well said. She must have had some disposable income, at some point with all the subscribers, all that scam money. She's astonishingly awful at money management. I am financially stable atm but I live in a Mediterranean country that's sinking fast into a crisis; the money I make from my job isn't pittance but it's not enough to make me have peace of mind indefinitely either. And if I can manage to look presentable on my kind of income, she should have actually hacked her way into some kind of circle already. Sadly for her, appearance can only take tou so far, even when it's impeccable. Her resistance to educating herself is remarkable. I feel awful for all the women who fell into her trap. I hope her end is near.

I also thank all the ladies on these threads for sharing their valuable tips, you are a school of your own! I wish there were a wiki or an index with all the links to all of them.

@Siena thank you for letting me know where to find it. The shop website is so badly done, a quickly put together hodgepodge to help Banana get quick cash.
Under Privacy I found this gem, bolding and underlining in paragraphs by me:
  1. Product Descriptions
  1. Product information is based on information provided by our partners and our knowledge of the Product(s). Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of Product information. However, this information does not constitute a guarantee of the characteristics of the Products. Any errors or omissions are purely coincidental.
  2. Photographs and image descriptions are presented for information purposes only and cannot guarantee perfect similarity with the Products sold, particularly with respect to size, materials and colors. Bey International SA cannot be held responsible for differences in color and finish. Color differences may be due to the type of screen and its settings. If you have any questions, please contact Bey International SA.
Phew, such vague language for a price gouging line. I love how they say that errors and omissions are purely coincidental. As a good, serious business there would be all effort made to make the products to be guaranteed to be the same as described. In 3.2. they say that they won't guarantee that what the customer gets is the same as in the pictures. And they disclaim that it can be in regards to size, material and color. What in the fast fashion is this disclaimer? It almost sounds like an aliexpress seller disclaimer, where they often use pictures of the high quality product but you get a cheap remake.
So purely speculating, in theory, based on this disclaimer that most normal customers wouldn't look for because it is under privacy and not Terms and Conditions, the customer might get a product that doesn't even look like what Banana is wearing. And it can be different in SIZE, material and color. Theoretically it could be a different color greyge, a low grade fabric... They don't guarantee it will have the same finish as what is seen. I would expect all that with a cheap, cheap fast fashion item from Aliexpress or Shein. But not for a 400EUR dress. I know Net-porter disclaims that colors may look different due to settings, most sellers will say that. But I have yet to see a claim that everything but the color could be different. If you buy from Anna Bey, you are buying a cat in a bag.
Banana fans would say it is all similar to ordering from big retailers, that size or material in real life may be different. But usually these retailers have easy returns. Frankly, if I buy say, a dress from Asos in their 50% extra off sale section I absolutely take into account that there may be something wrong with the item (like seriously wrong sizing) and that's why it went into the clearance. But if say, a dress was 50 euros, then it was discounted down to 25 and then half price of that... my expectations are relatively low and most of the time, the items exceed my expectation and if not I can return it.
