If it's true what she says, then what went wrong is that her parents were so strict with her that she decided to go all out as soon as she was out of her home.
And as she was bullied, she probably was also feeling like an ugly duckling. And being a gogo dancer may have been her way of showing her bullies that she is pretty and wanted by men.

I just feel like her juvenile maximalism hit in her 20's and she was trying to prove everyone wrong - her parents that she can live by her own, and her bullies that she was good enough.

I do think she regrets her past, but is really bad at hiding it. So she tries changing it so it is kind of acceptable.
I don't think that she was bullied, as a person who was bullied i see no signs of it on her. I think that Sweden didn't suit her at all, she couldn't find her voice there, you see most Swedish women are not after sugar daddies, vacations in Turkey and Dubai and getting expensive bags and allowances, they don't dream about the Russian Sugar baby life Ajia dreamed of. And most Swedish men don't really go after girls like Ajia so she probably thought that she would find a man who would give her the lifestyle she wanted in Ibiza, as she couldn't go to Dubai or St. Tropez.

Humans weren't made for idleness. Not even women. If you want to go traditional, remember that cavemen would go out and hunt while women would clean, cook and take care of the babies (BIGGEST JOB). Today, you can hire staff to do that but the ones who do nothing but lunch and shop daily aren't fulfilling their roles in the society, and spiritually, the roles they were sent to complete by God.
Just an addendum, recent Archeology has abandoned this concept that hunting was an exclusive task of cavemen. Women of that Era used to hunt too. And careful because Aija sometimes uses that old concept to justify the reason why women should be provided for. ;)

Well, looking at us ladies on Tattle, nobody can accuse us of NOT having hunting in our DNA, with the way we have managed to hunt down every single piece of dirt we could on Aija Raty🤣

God, she must have been my age then. Why would people do that to others, and even themselves? What possesses women to act in this manner, degrading themselves to playthings to be used and dumped?

I understand that there are unfortunate women who have no other options in life and have to desperately earn money for themselves and their families to survive on, but for someone like Aija, with a lawyer for a mother, how can you sidestep all that privilege to go dance naked in front of thousands of strangers and being used and abused?

Call me traditional, call me prudish but exploitation is NOT freedom and empowerment. Misogyny, sexism and reducing women to their sexual appeal isn't true empowerment. How can you push other women in that trap, as someone who has suffered it? Sick in the head, this airheaded idiot !
I agree with you, just one thought that your words prompted -

Aija's generation graduated when interned was a thing, something we'd use daily, but certainly not every moment. That generation wasn't as well connected globally (I know, a bad generalization, but stay with me), and, I'd say, some of the very naive kids at school - not as aware of the pitfalls and consequences. My guess is this is where Aija falls into. I had a smart and pretty classmate who had lovely parents but was a bit rebellious and dived straight to the go-go and Mediterranean nightclub scene when she turned 18. A lot, a lot of similarities incl. same food and health disorders like Aija. She did pull herself together some five years later, and settled down somewhere in France, learned a language, created a small and honest travel business leveraging her contacts, and is living happily ever after.

If it's true what she says, then what went wrong is that her parents were so strict with her that she decided to go all out as soon as she was out of her home.

Yes yes yes! She may call Tattle a bunch of haters but she's probably amazed by how well she can be read. That's probably along the lines of what her shrink is telling her, assuming she has one and does not lie to him.

Juveline maximalism... love it! I have a hunch the region you're from, and oh how I miss this phrase ;)

Yeah I think you hit the nail on the head. It's really sad and I do feel bad for her. But she can't keep fighting the ghosts from her past.

I just Googled and apparently English speakers don't have a phrase for what I was trying to say 😂

So for the ones who didn't get it - it's a phrase used to describe a youthful person (normally a teenager) who's exaggerating everything (overreacting to everything and exaggerated actions). It's like a way of protesting.

Weird English speakers don't have that. Russian and German has 😂

I'm starting to think the arrangement truly works for him... all of it. If he's a mid-range middle class bisexual banker who's trying to hide his sexuality but likes to hire escorts, Anna provides him a cover for his sexual escapades (both with men and women), AND her fixation on marrying a billionaire or at least a millionaire makes him look like he's actually wealthy. I suspect it's a case of faux embarrassment/first world elite problems if any of his colleagues/clients/friends find out he's married to an "etiquette coach" who teaches women how to bag rich men. "Oh, haha, I guess she married me for my [non-existent] wealth... guess I'll do something reckless like go for a ride in the yellow jag and drown my sorrows in some cognac"....people will think what a poor guy he is, being used for his money, but what he really cares about is people thinking he has money.

Aija makes him sound rich to his clients, and look straight to his family. That makes sense!

So basically, he can go: "I married the billionaire matchmaker/golddigger, so I'm atleast on the same level as them!"? 😂🤣😂

I hate to drag in people other than Anna in my comments but I have to comment on Average Joseph.

He is pathetic!

He is a handyman to the wealthy. He manages their money, nothing more or less. It's like a golf caddy getting ideas above their station. He got his taste of being around wealth and this sick obsession with living the jetset life consumed him. He wanted to live the lifestyle his clients live.

He takes the same vacations as them, even in London he tried but couldn't enter a private member's club. He wanted a Russian model but could only afford a knockoff like Aija. I can recognise grifters and wannabees a mile away. They are everywhere. Hanging on to the fringes, trying to imitate wealth in the most superficial way possible. A truly sad example of a man.

And more proof that the “15 years of experience” with high society (that she always mentions in her course launch sales pitch) is nonexistent..except in her mind!!

What proof has she ever showed to back-up that claim??? Absolutely none!

Anna knows that most of her naive students or people who casually watch her videos won't go searching her past, so she thinks that she can say anything she wants and have everyone eat it up. I guess in her mind dancing in Ibiza as a go go dancer, dating DJ MyKill and singing in some of his tracks and befriending Lina Hadid is the epitome of 15 years of experience in high society.
