I think he's some sort of banker, she was wearing £3k Chanel bags through university.I don’t know much about her, is her dad really wealthy? I’d always assumed she had some sort of sugar daddy footing the bill for everything!

She is middle-class, potentially considered ‘upper middle class’, due to her familial income if her dad is a credit suisse trader. But firmly middle class - the spectrum of which has expanded massively over past decades.I’m pretty sure I read before that he is a trader at Credit Suisse, they are absolutely not middle class
It does explain a lot about how she feels all her posts are really relatable, if she does genuinely think she’s middle class!
This was highly insightful, thank you! I wonder would her family be more "Nouveau Riche" with the flashing of cash etcShe is middle-class, potentially considered ‘upper middle class’, due to her familial income if her dad is a credit suisse trader. Class divisions in the UK aren’t defined by wealth at all - it’s on social mobility, your peers, and how you’re perceived externally. You can live an incredibly wealthy life and be working class - likewise you can be a member of the aristocracy and not have a pot to piss in.
‘Upper class’ is still based on traditional peerages / land ownership / connections / relations etc, often going back generations. It’s why it’s so ducked - there’s literally no way to enter these small circles unless you’re born into it, and the advantages and connections available here are never going to be accessible to others through hard work alone. Maybe that is what her family grew up with, but it’s unlikely.
Sorry to sound like a sociology essay! But if we start defining class by wealth alone, we overlook so many nuances which make up how someone’s class is perceived and the privileges they may or may not benefit from.
Oh very much so. Her taste is extremely nouveau riche (money can’t buy you class after all)This was highly insightful, thank you! I wonder would her family be more "Nouveau Riche" with the flashing of cash etc
lol don’t… I got terrorised for saying this beforeOh look Amelia’s on holiday without Asda again. But her life as a single mum is sooo haaaard you guys.
You did?!lol don’t… I got terrorised for saying this before![]()
… but the childcare might fall to Aster’s dad at those times, so why wouldn’t Amelia want to make the most out of it?It’s more the fact that she goes on holiday approx every three weeks…
this is why I’m convinced the Dubai holiday was a sugar daddy and not her dad or other undisclosed family member who wanted to maintain their privacy. Who invites someone on a FAMILY holiday but says leave your baby daughter at homeI think she can holiday without her daughter and good for her for maintaining a sense of identity away from being Aster’s mum but it’s a bit sad she hasn’t done any with her daughter - totally understand a holiday abroad as a single parent is hard work but there’s lots of UK destinations she could take Aster.
And it’s not like she lacks family members to come along and do the childcare for her, or with that many holidays abroad maybeI think she can holiday without her daughter and good for her for maintaining a sense of identity away from being Aster’s mum but it’s a bit sad she hasn’t done any with her daughter - totally understand a holiday abroad as a single parent is hard work but there’s lots of UK destinations she could take Aster.
Yes she’s posted stories in the same dress. I also got that tiktok on my FYP and was shocked at how different she looks compared to her own highly edited stories and posts! Is this Amelia?
