How did she get over her fiance dumping her so quickly with that new banker?!? Has she shown him yet?
Poor Duke, I have no doubt she can afford him the best veterinary care but a seizure is not a good sign. why is he not wearing a harness - a jolt to his neck by grabbing the lead would be painful and could be very dangerous.
I really hope Duke is okay. He’s such a sweetie pie!
This is just one example, but as I was horrified when it first developed thought I’d share. I rescued a 4-year-old dog and all was fine till age 7. He had a seizure out of nowhere and it scared me to death!! I got him a full lineup of tests and saw several specialists out of concern. All in all, he was diagnosed with epilepsy but it wasn’t ever really determined what brought it on.
His seizures happened periodically, maybe 2x month at their worst or every couple months typically - but largely they didn’t negatively impact his quality of life. The vet assured me he wasn’t in any pain during a seizure and I knew this dog and his behaviors well enough to believe that’s true. He’d be a bit disoriented afterward, but happy to relax and rest with me to recoup. Overall, he was very active and happy with no medical issues other than these periodic seizures. He went on to live till age 15, passing of old age last year. Completely unrelated to his seizures.
Obviously I’m not a vet and Duke’s circumstances are unique to him, but I wanted to share some encouraging words that seizures in doggies don’t necessarily mean the absolute worst. It broke my heart when my dog had seizures and I still wouldn’t wish them on any pet. Compared to other ailments I’ve seen in other dogs though, I feel they really weren’t that bad.
Regardless, I truly hope Duke is okay!! HE IS TOO CUTE and I hate to think of him suffering in any way.
