Omg, y'all, I'm stuck on this Leica thing because I'm a hobbyist photographer, and Leica is such an expensive and dream brand.
But Alyssa just posted on her stories that she takes most of her IG photos in her iPhone. Someone PLEASE explain to me why you would buy a $6000 camera that does *not* work well for video, and then proceed *not* to use it for photography either??
Everything in her life is just an expensive accessory to look "good" for the gram, with no true purpose or meaning. It's so sad, no wonder she's so unhappy.
ETA: And I just realized, she probably filed the $6000 camera as a business expense as well smh. So she's getting a tax break for an item that's absolutely useless for her actual business

in the Paris vlog, each woman went over their outfit and the brands. When Alyssa mentioned her head to toe lux brands, the woman filming said “Yaaass Queen!”. I mean, doesn’t this sun it all up? I’ve been done w Alyssa for a while, but here’s another group of women I don’t see why anyone follows.
I will say this. These IG/YT people make a good living for flexing brands, and most blow most of that income. Oh to be a fly on the wall in 5/10 years when they realize how much of a better financial position they’d be in if they passed on the Tesla and Hermes and opted for investments instead.
There is a great YouTube video about what happens to Youtubers when they are not famous anymore. Most of them are desperate for a quick cash grab because they suddenly realize that they can't afford their lifestyle on their own.
They either milk the few videos which were successful in the past, push ads after ads until it dries out or completely disappear.
Alyssa will be ducked if her career took a nose dive. She would have to sell all her bags and get a real job quickly in marketing because it is all she has in terms of experience. Forget flying to Paris and all the luxury hauls.
If you can't sustain your lifestyle with your savings alone, you couldn't afford it in the first place.

What I’ve realized is Alyssa is just plain lazy. She could EASILY either slowly move her channel to a more design-based brand OR start investing more time into product and interior design and secure another decade in the IG/YT space. Sure, she can continue to shill whatever crap FarFetch is offering with another sponsored haul (and continue to be a miserable person who spends most of her day sobbing in bed w her dog) or capitalize on the audience she has and do something with the education she received. I know which route I’d go, but I am not lazy.
For someone who capitalized on gifted/vouchers Hermes bags, it would be smart for her to take that energy and throw it into a career. The reality for her and Marco is she is the $ maker. If she wants to ride off into the distance having children and staying home, she won’t be able to do it on his salary alone. Sorry.

Long time lurker who has been nodding along with everything everyone is saying and finally had to make an account to join in...
I used to love Alyssa’s content and agree that everything about her has changed. But what irks me the most is how she thinks everything she does is aspirational. Her diet literally makes me skeev because of the high large/sugar content on a very regular basis. Even with a daily Peloton ride, it would be impossible to burn that all off. I was also shocked when I saw what the outside of their home looks like...not at ALL what I would imagine someone who has $60k worth of Hermes bags alone inside it. I am a major handbag lover (part of the reason I started following Alyssa in the first place) but when your priority is putting a new bag in your closet vs fixing the steps/concrete along the front of your house, there is a problem.

I'm really confused about the whole wedding situation to be honest... If I were Alyssa I would def produce content on the wedding, it's literally free content that would genuinely interest people! I find it to be such a missed opportunity, she would have had weeks of easy content to upload that would have def been more interesting than at-home vlogs lol. Also would have been a great opportunity for sponsorships (website, invites...)

Watching this Paris girls trip videos from her other friends really show another side of Alyssa that she would never reveal on her own videos, of course. She really is quite grumpy looking and probably is quite impatient and not fun to be with. Doesn’t this feel like there was a lot of tension in the elevator? Alyssa is facing down and looks upset, Christine senses tension ..

Her hush hush wedding planning is weird. Maybe she managed to get a sponsorship with a hotel/resort in Italy? Perhaps now she can have some of her guest list stay there discounted so the wedding is back on?
