Not that there’s anything wrong with a small collection of bags that you adore and use often, but going from 20 bags to 8 is going to be a huge shock for Alyssa. She’ll rustle up some deals with Farfetch and Rebag so she can purchase some SL, Chloe, and Celine bags to give her channel more mass appeal by end of H2 2022. I’m speaking with a handful of friends who are influencers, a lot of their community are over the Hermes freak show. For those of us who love the brand, we’re over the flash influencers who are poisoning the brand image. For people who were interested in specific bags from the brand, now that you’ve seen then trashed by these lame influencers, it has them thinking that Hermes isn’t as special as people hype it up to be. 🧐☹😔

<I realize I just shared two brand marketing personas and there are at least a dozen more. Sorry- is the product mgr in me.>
Thank you so much for this comment! You expressed what a lot of viewers are experiencing.

For the last 5 years we've seen these women go from relatable to narcissistic people who are completely out of touch with their audience.

I genuinely don't mind luxury contents because I buy such products too. However, I hate the way they are treating some brands as if it was Zara or H&M.

They all live in the same beige houses, with the same clothes, travel to the same places and eat the same food.

Also, the adoration behind Hermes is ridiculous! You don't see European influencers reacting to Hermes the same way American women like Alyssa do. If you have to sell most of your bags for over priced ones because you think that it will make you look rich you have deep inferiority complex. But she wouldn't solve that with a therapist because it would mean questioning yourself.

Back here after a little break. I know Alyssa reads on here, and I’m surprised she hasn’t made an IG story calling out “mean internet people” or talked about it during therapy, but I think most of us aren’t even trying to be mean? I honestly wish she’d get her act together.

I used to be a fan of her and her content. It’s actually sad to see her at a stage in her life where she should be mature with finances, wasting it away on things that don’t even matter.

If she is reading this, then she probably knows she’s wrong but is in too deep to stop. I really hope this doesn’t put a strain on her marriage but, I’ve seen way too many cases of financial issues similar to this that it’s wishful thinking.

yeah that’s the other thing, I don’t get the beige aesthetic and I have a small following too cause of the work I do but it seems like these influencers are carbon copies of each other with the same aesthetic, style, etc

Does anyone watch Lois You? She's friends with Michelle Choi and Alyssa Lenore. I couldn't find a thread on her which I understand as she has quite a way to go subscriber/follower wise...but what does everyone think about her?

love her! Has that beigey aesthetic but I don’t mind it. She rarely posts hauls and talks about bags/experiences. Such a delight to watch and is extremely appreciative of what she gets. She’s studying in college and Has a full time job alongside yt

I had no clue she’s still in school. I thought graduated Vanderbilt a few years ago. Is she pursuing her Master’s?

She is soooo busy doing f all!!! How can she possibly find the time to do this video!!! Oh yeah bc shes gonna receive more backlash from tpf, here, on how she possibly got 5 hermes in 1 yr while purseonfleek cries everytime she spends 10k on hermes and doesn't have her dream bag 😂
Haha! This comment gave me a laugh! I used to like watching PurseOnFleek bc she seemed to really love Hermes but once they banned her and she had to move to Chanel, every item is “so sought after”, “the unicorn of the season”, etc. So obvious Mel is trying to move on up from her poor upbringing by flexing lux brands and as we see with Alyssa, it does not work. Mel and Alyssa have A LOT in common, except Alyssa found a little buddy SA at Hermes who hooked her up. I wonder how that SA will feel now that Alyssa is essentially done buying at Hermes outside of bags which is so low commission in Hermes. I don’t feel sorry for them at all.

Aside from white pants cleaning the world one hem at a time... she has now moved on to outerwear to clean the streets of NY !!
Reminds me of how the Olsen twins’ used to dress up in the early 2000s. 🙊 I am showing my age!

i think she mentioned she switched to a different degree a while back. She also said she’s moving to Spain in around half a year so I presume that her Degree will be done by then! What are you’re thoughts on her?

I had no clue. And, moving to Spain?! I'm jealous. I love her aesthetic and she seems to have a great personality. I did find some things that kind of irked me digging through her Instagram...like she posted a picture of what looked like someone else's apartment and implied it was her place (I've seen a lot of people do this...which is crazy)...Or, maybe it was, but then why was her apartment at the beginning of her vlogs (before her move) so eh?... sorry I don't wanna be mean and call it a bad name...

also I find it kind of crazy that she wears more than 10k on her wrist and purchased a Kelly, Chanel Classic etc... but again, the apartment she lived in at the very beginning of her vlogs was in really bad shape. It was shocking to me. I just thought why not get a better apartment? I'm Asian myself and I've just seen so many Asians (esp in my country) go crazy spending tens and thousands on their credit cards just to keep up with an aesthetic and live in terrible housing...

I personally really like her, but I just hope she's being genuine and real like Michelle Choi. Michelle Choi is my favorite vlogger. She's so real and raw. I'd dislike her to be like Alyssa and do things that feel and look like they're completely out of her means...but then again it isn't my place.

Happy to have found this thread! I used to watch Alyssa, but her crazy expenses and content irk the hell out of me.

Why does she need both the semi-professional Breville coffee machine and Nespresso at the same time? Her coffee is loaded with caramel syrup anyways, doubt she can taste the coffee.
Also not sure if she still has it, she used to have Louis Vuitton agenda. For someone who is lazy and even needs to write 'laundry' on her to-do list, the agenda is just a waste of money.

Not a professional, but I feel her house is not that nice (poor finishing, poor millwork), so yeah I don't think she is as loaded as she likes to portray.

Yes…so many influencers, not just Alyssa, have countless number of Hermes bags…yet they have the cheapest furniture and home finishings…Personally, it peeves me.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong about purchasing designer. You can save for a dream bag…but when you’re trying to get designer left and right like Alyssa and many other influencers I really do think luxe goods in those volumes should be bought via disposable income. duck money.
It’s quite pointless to have those things when nothing else in your life is really luxe. Especially now that Alyssa seems to only be coveting Hermes lately…such dangerous waters…

Having a 10k bag means nothing when you’re worried about paying it off.

Her new Balenciaga clothes and now only talking about $$$$ brands like Toteme and Hermes make it obvious she is trying to be ultra-luxe to her audience, but it feels super unnatural for her. I understand wanting to "level up" and liking very high end things, but it feels off for her.... trying too hard and being too influenced herself maybe? Perhaps it's because we see her mostly being lazy behind the scenes and we know she doesn't put her money into her home/future home (which should be a bigger priority for disposable income, rather than a single $1200 sweater or $300 bowl IMO). But I guess we also don't REALLY know her financials at this point.. just seems odd and not genuine 🤷‍♀️

If I had a dollar for everytime she posts her diabetes caramel coffee or Rakuten noodles I would be able to buy a Birkin too.

Her daily diet is like what you eat when you’re feeling under the weather/want to indulge… except she eats like that everyday. I swear I’ve never seen her eat a vegetable.

Neither have I. It’s all carbs and junk food. Her coffees have hundreds or so worth of sugar calories in them. How is she not as big as a house? Does she only eat one meal a day? I don’t remember if I’ve ever heard her talk about fitness. I always thought it was sus that she said she took a size 6 or 8 in Aritizia when there in-house brand is known to run small.

She either yo-yo diets or still has the last of her fast metabolism helping her out. But in your 30s I know eating tit is no joke because it can really pile on.

She was very slim 5+ years ago. Her oversized clothes conceal it, but her body shape seems to be a rectangle e.g slimmer legs and arms, gains weight in midsection. I guess cause she never wears crop tops we don’t see the weight gain there?

Not sure what US sizing conversions are but she looks to be a 10/12 AU (which is solidly medium).
