WARNING: This will not sound nice.
Something I have really grown to hate is when YT/IG personalities pull back the curtain and start their journey of telling us of their struggles. I literally do not care. They’re generously paid (and gifted) advertisers who, IMHO, often use the “I’m just like you, I struggle too” to essentially gain sympathy with the purpose of getting more followers and sympathy clicks. This may sound v cruel, but I am just uninterested. Celebs used to make this influencer money bc they showed an aspirational lifestyle, one the masses would want to emulate. This has now moved to these YT/IG personalities. I do not need to see your dirty laundry nor do I want to hear about your mental health. Do your job, manage your issues as we all do - with close family and friends, not at our job.
Happy New Year, everyone. May you all find health and happiness, and not be schemed by influencers making money off your sympathy.
