That’s the part that annoys me. They all get as skinny as possible, make everyone else feel like rit because they’re always so happy and give off the impression that the whole healthy eating and exercise thing is a breeze. Then, once they’ve ‘made it’ they suddenly turn round and go ‘oh actually my life was pretty rit then, love your body, have treats, be happy... and while you’re here, check out my trip to the Maldives, CD bag and expensive London flat’
I don’t know why there wasn’t a huge apology and talk of the destruction and impact that’s had on others she influenced and sold to. I am not being mean at all I think she could have handled this a lot better. I feel fitness was just another route to fame as it was the in thing about 4-5 years ago. Chessie King is another example, she did a fitness/bikini competition and I don’t think she was even graded then became all about body positivity and selling her merch/speaking her new truth. Maybe even Grace Fit they all start off tanned and toned then sack it off saying it was horrific but one constant is they sell merchandise to their followers along the way

This post sums up exactly how I feel and the issue I have with all these anti diet culture influencers. When she was “Clean Eating Alice” she was apparently deeply unhappy and obsessive, yet at the time she was also convincing us to follow these dangerous habits and saying they were healthy.
But hey as long as she has seen the light that’s all the matters right? No thought or consideration to all the people taken in at the time with the unrealistic body image!! And exactly as the poster above said- now she is reaping the rewards from that unhealthy lifestyle.
I take this point. Lose it like Lauren is a prime example. I don't want to sound cruel or nasty but Lauren looks unhealthy compared to the other ligestygurus that have gained weight.
I’ve still managed to stay in shape. Her workouts are really low impact, she’s clearly trying to appeal to a different demographic now. As has been said it was her clean eating days that got her to where she is now so what about the people who invested in her then? She just leaving them behind?
Hmmm yeah. I started doing crossfit and not bothered with her classes.Me and my boyfriend do zoom classes when he's been eating well. He's definitely got good definition going on any running has improved by doing lots of lunges. I feel that these set of influencers and not just alice are completely contradicting themselves including Tally Rye. I listened to a podcast the other week and some of them were totally obsessed with it but also it's a fine line of having balance too.

All these comments are proof that these influencers are willing to literally put their body and minds through absolute hell to get material good, assurance and money. no job is good enough to sacrifice my well-being. I’m just sorry they are all stuck in a never ending circle and being so shallow they can’t even find themselves

Exactly, there are other jobs other than being a fitness influencer so she could’ve decided it wasn’t for her any more and got a “normal” job rather than just doing a 360 and preaching the opposite. The above comments sum it up well!

also to add, so many of them do the same, start out in fitness for a few years, have an identity crisis and change their name on insta but then seem to still go down the fitness path and bring out workouts whilst almost shaming their past which is what got them their platform (eg Alice, Steph, grace) it’s all a bit confusing.

Clearly reading here - see her story today about she’d rather be happy in herself than liked by everyone. She’s neither!

Also can’t you be happy in yourself and liked by everyone? I certainly don’t know of anyone that actively dislikes me 😂 and can think of a few influencers who are on the whole liked/respected

There’s so many! That’s why it makes me laugh with these people not seeing the error of their ways. Plenty of influencers don’t have threads here so why do they think that is?

The problem is the content. If you can't keep engaging with your followers you lost them. To be honest about 3/4 years ago I found Alice more motivating and engaging. I am very glad she's happy with her body and more comfortable within herself. But maybe deep down she is missing training in the gym too. Xameliax not a fitness influencers but I had to say it over the years she became more and more uncool and engaging and she's a similar age to me. Like Liv Purvis engages me even with her baby content. Liv has grown up with me whilst XAmeliax just seems like she's need find herself because I find her content awful.

I am by no means an expert but I wonder if she's had some more work done. That picture looks like she can't lift her cheeks in a natural and authentic way, her mouth is almost turned down but she's trying to smile... anyone else see it?
