Im 100% down with following rules to avoid spreading and protecting the vulnerable and NHS but if you are someone who is alone and/or suffer with anxiety and/or depression I think then seeing a family member or friend as a comfort is more than ok. As long as you arent being a fool about it and dont use it as an excuse to see loads of people and go in and out of peoples houses all the time.
Mental health is also a huge priority and it's all good someone isolating themselves from the world in the name of COVID but if its going to lead to suicide, self harm or depressive episodes then you have to put yourself first.
