What's baffling is that she thinks she looks good in these photos. She would be so much better without the ridiculous filtering and facetuning and smug smize. She looks like a Guy Fawkes mask in the first photo
“Smug smize” is the perfect description for her signature poses. It’s how smug she looks that irks me because she’s smug over fake “perfection”.

The difference between her IRL Versus Instagram is ridiculous

I find her new habit of regularly placing her fingers on her chin really annoying and “cringe”. I don’t know why it irritates me so much but it just feels like another lame thing she does because she thinks it makes herself look alluring or sensual. I don’t know. I just find Alex so lame. Nothing she does makes me think she’s cool.

How? How is she not mortified that people who socialise with her on a regular basis; the people who know exactly how round and chubby her face is, are watching videos like this where she’s just mysteriously morphed into someone with an incredibly slim, snatched face with the daintiest chin ever?! I’d be so embarrassed that my friends/acquaintances could see what a fake I was. I swear, Alex Steinherr has no self-awareness.

Look how much more attractive she is in her normal state, she's smiling and enthusiastic, and has a normal face. And then the Guy Fawkes smize photo she's eye bleeping herself and doesn't resemble a real life human person

But yeah, okay, suddenly we have hollow cheekbones without any major weight loss.

I started following Alex when she was still at Glamour magazine & the only images I saw of her looked like this & I thought she had a lovely face. This is when I found her likeable & enjoyed her make up recommendations. But since 2016 I think, she just started playing around with beauty filters to the extreme and as you put it the major “eye bleeping” started and I was turned right off. She could have been such a great content creator if she’d just stayed reasonably authentic - not presenting a fake mannequin face and insisting publicly that it’s her real face when there’s an abundance of evidence on the internet to the contrary.

Today’s Sunday Facial continues to serve weird Alien avatar face which bears little resemblance to her real human face

Never. This is her in 2010, aged 34
Alex is so pretty in that pic but never have I seen her in an unfiltered pic with the face shape she’s presenting us on Instagram & TikTok

She shot herself in the foot by becoming addicted to FaceApp & beauty filters because how is she going to get out of this facade with dignity now?

She had trained us to be disappointed with her true appearance from presenting hyper-perfected images

I mean, she filtered the crap out of the first pic in March this year and compare that to a pic a third party took of her just 4 months later

The only way she could get out of the facade with dignity would be to do a Cosmopolitan style op ed (her background is in magazines) like "I was addicted to face tuning and filters but now I'm embracing my natural self". She's probably become too addicted to the dopamine hit of all the likes and "wow your skin is stunning Alex" comments to ever stop. Even if those likes and comments are based on a falsehood

This is the weirdest, most one dimensional thread I've encountered. Just pages and pages of the same insta filter face followed by photos of her actual face.

No judgement, obviously keep posting whatever you want to post, it's just fascinating.

I’m not active on any other thread on Tattle so I’m not aware of the multi-dimensional, diverse topics being discussed on other threads about other beauty influencers.
Feel free to recommend particularly compelling threads on Tattle so I can check them out and see how it should be done. 🙏🏻

I recall Sali Hughes posting a highly emotionally charged Instagram video once in which she spoke of how she was being viciously slandered on websites like Tattle. I’ve been too lazy to delve into the archives. I felt bad for her as she looked extremely distressed and tearful. I still don’t know what was being said about her. She’s always seemed pretty inoffensive to me.

As I said, no judgement at all and obviously there's no "right way". Most threads I follow here are a collection of commentary on influencers' life style, fashion, appearance, family and friends, houses and living, hobbies, social media image, sponsors and collaborations, travels, lies and so on.

With Alex, everything kind of seems to start and end with her face. Which I imagine is kind of how she feels too, since that's basically all she keeps posting. Maybe it would be healthy for her to explore other types of content to detach herself from this toxic cycle of having her face be the centre of everything.

Was delighted when I came across her on the clock because I loved her in my teenage Cosmo days but WOW I can’t believe those unedited pictures! It’s people like who make folks feel insecure and wishing they were more like her when she actually looks NOTHING like that! Really disappointing.

this is why I wish they would bring some law out about editing. Her career would be over
