Was the 'snack' video from today? I stumbled across it on tiktok and pissed my self laughing. Shes got SUCH a monotonous voice it's unreal
in the caption, she explains that she saw the exact reel created by another content creator on tiktok, so was immediately inspired to copy it with her own forced, awkward acting skills - because any excuse to justify creating reels sharing eating disorder "tips" in the caption! how on earth is it responsible behaviour to detailing all the ways she used to avoid eating - chewing gum, filling herself up. with water etc etc. they are tips that absolutely nobody needs - especially her followers, when she knows damn well that many of them are vulnerable and struggle with eating disorders!
like sure, that whole "if you think you're hungry, but don't specifically want to eat an apple, you're not hungry, you're actually just thirty and need to distract yourself"
bull was a popular diet culture fueled message at one point, and obviously a message Alex found unhelpful - yet she's proudly sharing amongst her followers, many of whom are much younger and may not have been exposed to those triggering "but are you
really hungry?" flowcharts. so sure, Alex may film herself grabbing a snack - although it's debatable whether she actually ate it, give that she's still concealing her body in huge, oversized clothing - but that doesn't mean everyone who follows her will react in a similar manner, and may actually grasp into that unhelpful flow chart as a way to determine whether or not they should eat.
ultimately, when you are an account which supposedly promotes body confidence and body positivity, yet the caption on your latest reel begins with "trigger warning: EDs", it just shows that she is fully aware that she is posting triggering content and attempting to justify doing to with a tw, despite knowing full well that trigger warnings don't protect anyone and won't protect her vulnerable followers from being triggered. again, there is absolutely no excuse for her pro ana content. she knows exactly what she's doing.
