I have bought the Bilash curry range for the first time ever! We have the mixed grill, Goan prawn curry with chilli paneer and onion bhajis on the side. Husband is v.excited to try but the prawn curry sauce looks a bit watery to me 😕 hopefully cooks up a bit nicer.

I’ve been through the Christmas food catalogue today as well and have a few things on my list!
I have just had the prawn curry and it does look thin but comes together when it's mixed after microwaved. My favourite.

I have the prawn one on the freezer. Good to know!
I’ve had the chicken dhansak and while it was nice, I wouldn’t get it again.
The SS chocolate covered dried raspberries are absolutely delicious😋

I was a happy bunny in Aldi today, only went in to get Flushable Toilet Wet wipes which I have bought before but never looked at the price until they came up at 43p for 40 when I scanned them, thought it must be wrong so went back and yes it was right. Everywhere else they are over £1 - I bought them because I am going on a coach holiday next week for 10 days to Europe (yes I am an old fart 😂 ) What a bargain.
But the best bit was they had some Bilash curries which they were out of stock of earlier this week which are in date until until Sunday - I am having Prawn Curry on Friday just before I go on another coach trip and having Panner Curry when I come home on Sunday from Blackpool Iluminations.
If you like Rose - I bought a bottle of Chapter and Verse Rose - South Eastern Australian - £4.89 in Wales, don't know if it is any different in England but I rate it better than the Angel Falls. IMO

I saw one of the “Mummy Influencers” went to the Aldi Christmas event & they have a Whispering Angel dupe coming out which I am very excited to try. I didn’t catch the name from the quick clip but it will be easy to spot as in true Aldi style, the label is almost identical & no doubt it will have a name like Shouting Cherub.

Well I got that name wrong - Angel Falls instead of Whispering Angel. 😂 Anyway I am going to stick to Chapter and Verse, it is so much better.

If it isn’t shouting cherub I’m going to be really disappointed 🤣

My Aldi were clearing out the middle aisle today, must be getting ready for Xmas drops but they had loads of random end of line special buys with 75% off stickers. Got a lamp with a charging point for £4.99. Even the guy on the till said what a bargain

Got the Black Forest crumbles on 30% off - they're in the fridge for tomorrow.

However I've been to 4 different Aldi's this afternoon to try track down the cat litter I've bought for the past 5 and a half years - ALL out of stock, with none in the stockroom either. Had to get one from Tesco which I'm hoping my cats approve of, for almost 3 times the price.

I’m off to the wooden toy sale in both Aldi and Lidl tomorrow - pray for me 🙈🤣
Quoting myself - Aldi was wild, so so busy! Only 2 of each item allowed per person which I thought was great as last year so much was sold on. Lidl was very quiet with no queues at all. I managed to get what I wanted to I’ll have a happy little girl at Xmas!

Aw pleased for you. I bet your heart rate was the through the roof 😂 When they had the Bluey stuff last year I was the same, running round like a crazy woman! I’m so glad they’ve put a limit on 2 per person, people who bulk buy items like this to sell on for profit are rum bags !!

Yes I was all panicky - it’s a lot isn’t it haha, the things we do for our babies!

The resellers really are rum. I’ve still seen the Cuthbert cakes on Vinted for £30 this morning - they’re £7.99 in store!

The reselling thing is absolute madness. I witnessed a full on screaming match in my Aldi last year over the last of one of the wooden toys as the woman who took it already had about 12 things in her trolley.

The wooden toys are great though, we got our oldest a kitchen for Christmas a few years back and it’s still in great condition after 5 years and 2 kids playing with it most days. Oldest is 6 now so not hugely interested in the selection they have but the 3yo will probably enjoy some new wooden food 🙂

For some reason the dog food and cat food was in really short supply for the last few weeks..

Have you all seen the Aldi Christmas leaflet? So many lovely things

So much nice stuff this year. I love doing a gingerbread train with the kids :) we usually do a fish starter so I’m happy to see lots of fish options this year!
