I missed out as I couldn't go on Thursday and Friday due to the horrendous weather where I live and I have to go on the bus then walk a while. It was quite frustrating knowing that my favourites would be gone when I was able to get there. Think I was lucky I got 2 Prawn ones. :) Will have to make up for it by eating the mango chutney out of the jar with a big spoon or slathering it thickly on the nan bread.
I was lucky as I got some large Bilash naan breads a few weeks ago. This reminded me of the curry deal, so I started running down my freezer in preparation. Then I saw it coming in a future brochure. Then I forgot about it. Then I panicked when I got a notification, as like you I'd already missed a day. All the samosas and one of the curries at least were gone when I went in a day late. The hot butter chicken one was definitely gone. There seemed to be a lot of prawn goan curry left.
I must remember to mark it on the calendar as I think they do it every 6 months. I'll have to treat it like a military operation in future. 😁😋

Can you freeze them - thought, although could be wrong - it says on them not to freeze. Have eaten mine so can't look on the packet.

I’ve frozen the curries and breads last time ( think it was February) and I’ve done the same this time.

Someone take this box of cinnamon knots biscuits away from me 😅

I've only just opened them to have one with my coffee... I’ve managed to inhale 4 (there are only 9 in the box 🤣)

Watch my Aldi not stock them any more after this!

I picked up some of the Aldi frozen almond croissants. Haven’t tried them yet. I love an almond croissant.
pret do the best ones, but they’re an occasional treat, cos they’re expensive!

I think the Aldi almond ones are pretty good for the price! I enjoyed them anyway. The other flavour, chocolate hazelnut I think? is gross and perfumey imo

Had a successful shopping trip. Have bought a lot of Bilash products and the Dopiaza sauce from the middle aisle (not Bilash).
Couldn't find the black forest crumble, but when I went back to get some cream cheese I spotted that they'd refilled the shelf, so I secured my crumbles.
I did notice that 85% of each tray was the toffee apple version. So is this better than the black forest one, or did Aldi assume the toffee apple one would be the big seller?🤔
Despite me going berserk in Aldi my shopping only came to £25 whereas my Morrisons shop was £25 for not very much. 🤔

I’ve already said this up thread but I’m repeating myself anyway. I thought the toffee apple was very underwhelming, hardly any toffee sauce so quite boring. Basically apple crumble. The black forest on the other hand was delicious and so punchy with whole morello cherries and cherry sauce with lovely chocolate crumble. I need more.

So basically they've f****d up and made the wrong decision. They'll need to employ a taste tester with different taste buds. 😁

Ok this thread has redeemed itself after the trickles debacle (I can still taste them 🤢) - the Black Forest crumbles are amazing ❤❤ kinda wished I hadn’t had to share them with my family 🙄😂

I have bought the Bilash curry range for the first time ever! We have the mixed grill, Goan prawn curry with chilli paneer and onion bhajis on the side. Husband is v.excited to try but the prawn curry sauce looks a bit watery to me 😕 hopefully cooks up a bit nicer.

I’ve been through the Christmas food catalogue today as well and have a few things on my list!
