I've just been to Aldi and saw the size of the £20 candles 😄 Those are perfectly normal sized jars next to it! If you're planning to get one, get a trolley, not a basket

If I had roots in Ireland I'd live there like a shot.
Swearing, Taytos, empty beautiful beaches, it's got it all.

I don't want to get into an argument with you. I was talking about my experience. I used to do a full shop at Aldi, but it's getting less and less as the quality of the food gets worse.
I'm buying more from Lidl which was my least favourite shop previously.
I want to eat real food now which means I have to make it myself. 😁
I'm just so happy that I've found a recipe mum used to make for us as children which we adored. Turns out it was chowder. 😋
I don't want to get into any argument about this with anyone, I'm genuinely asking what makes aldi more full of UPFs than lidl since i think of them as having pretty equivalent products and very similar stuff overall 😅

Does anyone remember those phileas fogg mignons morceaux? I remember enjoying them very much while watching Dogtanian and the muskehounds.

Not M&S related but I know there are some fellow coffee chocolate lovers on the thread. My Dad picked me up a few bars of the Cadbury Iced Latte
eatlier this week, haven’t picked them up yet so can’t comment on how nice they are but they are £1.50 in Tesco

I got the last box of Frickles tonight. My gasp of joy stopped everyone in the store :ROFLMAO: 🤭
Just like to add an addendum to this to demonstrate the levels Tattlers have dropped me to......🙄
My brother happened to be with me unexpectedly and now thinks I'm an absolute nutcase who might need certifying!😲😬😳🤐😏
.............and he's never been so mortified, embarrassed and shown up at my behaviour, which I'm ashamed to say included clutching the said item to my chest..............He just hopes nobody he knows was there. Luckily it's not a local branch. 🤭

Aldi's new Moser Roth smooth praline bars are phenomenal! They have white, milk and dark versions, and I can heartily recommend the white and the milk. It just tastes good quality - most chocolate tastes pretty crap to me these days (I feel like I can really taste certain oils/emulsifiers) and I couldn't stop eating these ones.

Oh the psychopath in me absolutely loves this kind of confrontation! Current favourite place for it is in Marks & Spencer’s, usually with an older person that needs to be taught some manners - which I am more than happy to do! The stores not just open for you, love. Shift your trolley or I will :)
That made me laugh but there were 2 of them back to back who were big 40's and I was the older person. I would have done it for 1 but honestly they were guarding the doors. I do ask people, nicely, to move if they are blocking the fridges but these 2 were not to be messed with. :D

Not to brag (actually, total brag) but i pack so fast even aldi and lidl staff struggle to keep up. I use self service as much as possible which is why my lidl annoys me. No self service and it always takes ages at the till.

We've just had 2 of the Aldi curries for dinner. We split the Lamb Rogan Josh and the Butter Chicken. Also had a peshwari rice and naans. Both curries were lovely, ditto the peshwari rice which is something I wouldn't normally buy but thought was worth a try for £1.29. Also both curries were sell by tomorrow so 30% off 😂 Absolutely stuffed now!

I bloody love the Lidl app. Best app out there followed by nectar.

30 bag multi pack of crisps for free, and ultimate chocolate brownie. Might’ve also got triple chocolate blonde and cheesecake brownie, and sour cherries, fennnel pork sausages. Love Italian week.

Bloody Lidl...I literally only popped in for compost and my fave crisps (sweet chilli lentil curls 😍)
Of course, I came out with bread (brown loaf and baguettes) cheese (2 different varieties) lamb chops, pancakes, cherries, mushrooms and food bin liners. They didn't have any compost, and I completely forgot to pick up my crisps! 😭😭😭

Lidl were selling Air Fryers for under £20 but they were all gone, they also had this beast for £29.99, so took a chance on it.
Came with a lot of accessories, trays, shelf, even a wee oil spray bottle.
Testing tonight with roasted veg & marinated chicken breast.

Picked up my free bakery item this morning in Lidl (Victoria sponge muffin)
Also got some of the mini stollen bites which I absolutely love, and some of their pretzel chocolate 😋
Got a few packs of the salmon with lemon and pepper butter for the freezer, and those gorgeous mini potatoes dauphinois that they always have at this time of year.
I love this time of year in Lidl! They always have loads of goodies.

Took myself to Aldi nice and early yesterday, first in the queue to grab one of their bamboo bistro sets. Straight in and….none. Managed to grab the manager and he said (sheepishly) oh there were only two of those delivered they must have gone already. Given I was first in and with my husband so we split up I take that to mean the staff had already bought/reserved them as they never made it to the shop floor 😤
