Probably late to the party but the School Cake bites in Lidl are to die for, really soft cake and creamy icing. I’m trying to stop myself going in there after work to get some more 🤣

Went to Aldi today - normally just have Lidl near me at home so this was exciting.

Picked up some Sauce Shop Chipotle and Lime Aioli (Great Taste Awards one gold star) and omg it's delicious.

Also got a couple of loaded dips because everyone goes on about them and NOW I GET IT. No wonder the Americans are all so large - if I had access to these dips regularly I would not be fitting in my plane seat to Greece this summer.

If it hadn't been for the customer sneezing practically into my mouth as we queued at the till, I'd have rated my Aldi experience 10/10.

If you can be arsed, there is a recipe on Janes Patisserie for school cake & it’s so good & dead easy to make. I would probably eat half the cake so I don’t make it often 🥴

Their stuff is so good , I picked up an electric waxing kit from Lidl for £16 including the wax. It's paid for itself over and over.
I'll keep an eye out for a frother.

What kind of milk did you use in your frother?

I've always found them cheap stick frothers good for whilst you're waiting for the electric one.

I had my nephew with me when I did the food shop today, and ended up getting talked into buying all kinds of things 😅 One of which was a tub of the new Ben & Jerry's style ice creams Aldi have.

The ice cream isn't the greatest quality (it was a little grainy), but for £2.49, it's pretty good! We got the turtle beach one, which has caramel and vanilla ice cream and little chocolate shaped turtles with caramel inside. The vanilla ice cream is blue, which I'm pretty sure is the main reason my nephew thought it was the greatest thing he'd ever had 🤣(We had a couple of spoons worth as we packed the shopping away - purely for quality control purposes, obviously)

What is it with kids and blue ice cream? Mine go mad for it! Doesn’t even matter which flavour it is as long as it's blue 🥴

I use my hand held blender to do my hot chocolate - put it in a wide neck jug and works a treat.
I finally got one of the India loaded dips today, first time I have seen them in there, 2 in the box so Indian 1 in basket and when I picked up the second pot all this yellow liquid ran up my t shirt arm from a gap in the plastic (me turning it over to look at the ingredients) so the girl who was stocking up the other stuff heard me say oh tit, looked and went off to get me some paper to wipe my shirt. Told me not to put the Indian 1 through the check out but to tell her and I got it for free.

No chicken caesar dip but lots of indian. I passed because I'd already picked up the massala dip from Lidl previously mentioned.

Biscuits bought... such a hard, crunchy base. Is it supposed to be a biscoff knockoff? Anyway a lush biscuit & I don't eat so many at once ( I've eaten 1/2 packet & I've not had them 24hrs, I have shared a few)
No sweet onion sauce but a whole tray of marinara
Lots of 30% off meats though so not a complete waste of time.
