I've looked in all four Aldi stores near me - two had shelf tags but no product. I'm really keen to try them! Aldi's vegan range always looks so exciting, but they're quite soy-heavy and I don't tend to love the taste of soy-based meat subs, so I was extra excited by the frickles.Talking of all things Veganuary which seems to be everywhere, I noticed Frickles in Aldi's new vegan offerings.

I've noticed with a lot of thr vegan range, there's two types of thing in a box. In this case frickles and some battered tofu.. that nobody bloody wants. (See the same problem with the lime rice in the last thread). They won't get another box out until the other stock is going down... we need someone to buy all the tofu so they bring the frickles out!
The tofu is awesome. I stock up whenever I see it!

I don't think the tofu is in with the frickles - there's 3 types of tofu in my 2 nearest Aldi - hot and spicy, southern fried and battered. It's only ever the hot and spicy that's left here. I love the battered one and the southern fried is pleasant enough too.
I got the only box of frickles my store had after searching on three separate trips! They’re really nice. They were mixed in with some other tempura veg, and shared a shelf label. I’ve not seen them since, it’s just piles of the veg.
Are these frickles in the fridge or freezer section?

Mine came with a battery but not sure if it’s a lidl one as I’ve had it since then first lockdown. The battery doesn’t last long at all though.

Tempura haddock goujons from Lidl, air fried, are next level.
Are they frozen or fresh please?
Can report there were no frickles in Aldi today. Vemondo chilled stuff 20% off in Lidl though.
