Aldi has really been killing it this year. I hear they've won awards as the offering has been so good.

Bought the vegan gammon, vegan beef and vegan foot long pig in blanket thing from Aldi today. Very excited to try them. Had the gammon last year and it was very tasty. Have got the vegan chicken from Asda for Christmas day so thinking the gammon for boxing day and the beef for new years 😊

Enjoy! I had a list of vegan items I wanted to pick up in Aldi, but mine did not stock any of them 😭

That's annoying. I did have to hunt. All the fridge bits were in with the festive meat stuff. In my store that was the fridge nearest the veg

Well Lidl have totally alienated me this Christmas. I don’t regularly shop there but lots of things in their Xmas leaflet tempted me so I went out of my way to get try and get them. all bar one thing hasn’t been stocked or was sold out on the day it was supposed to be in store. I don’t know why I even bothered to try and get the Xmas chocolate train pudding yesterday. I ended up buying a festive pie and the label said £4.99 but I’ve just checked my receipt and it was £9.99. Naffed off

We’ve just had the most manic Tesco and Aldi trip ever I think. Absolute carnage. I actually saw someone get rammed with a trolley! 🤯 Happy to report I managed to get the almond croissants. And the chocolate ones too because they were right there, rude not to.

Also got the Aldi SS camembert with caramelised onion sharing bread around it in a big foil tray. Has anyone had this and is it nice? Baked camembert is a Christmas Eve tradition for me and Mr. pecan.

My local Aldi has been closed since at least Wednesday, due to “a technical issue.” It’s so odd, it only opened in October, too!

I got the crispy chocolate balls today. Didn't realise they were in different flavours so I got the blonde chocolate one, which isn't normally my favourite chocolate, but I still really like them. 😋
Also saw Bailey's eclairs in the freezer section, but none of you have mentioned these up to press.🤔
Being a Bailey's virgin - after being warned off by addicts, I was a bit hesitant to pick them up. 🤭
ETA. Talking about Lidl.

Earlier this year I bought some 'everything but the bagel' type seasoning from Aldi. At the time it was just in with the herbs and spices, I remember seeing it for ages after I bought it. Except now I've run out and it seems like it might have been a special buy, there's no sign of it in my local store any more. Kicking myself that I didn't buy more sooner!

Has anyone seen anything similar in other supermarkets? Failing which am going to have to try and make my own, as all the ones on Amazon are ridiculously expensive! 😐

I'm so pleased you've asked this, I've been looking every week. It wasn't stocked with the special buys at my store so I assumed it was just a new product. It was lush and I can't justify paying for the real thing to be shipped over from the US... might have to join you in making my own

I'm pretty sure it was a special buy

I saved this recipe a while ago for when I eventually run out:

I bought the Baileys eclairs, they are very very average. I wouldn’t buy them again and I love Baileys 😂

Thanks for posting that link, might try making my own at the weekend (subject to being able to source the ingredients!)

I've just saved that to my Pinterest board. I never really bothered with bagels but went to Canada earlier this year and have decided I like them!

I've put them on the tree -1 as I needed to taste test obvs 😉 Similar but not as good as ferrero rocher but for £1.99 (I initially thought they were £2.99) I'm sold.

Mine have gold wrappers so would look equally as good on a tree. 😁
