Just tried Lidl's new coconut and almond ice cream sticks. It was borderline okay but tastes quite synthetic - like 'hint of a Herbal Essences conditioner' flavour 😂

Popped to Aldi on my lunch break, for once they had everything, I had to stop myself buying stuff I didn’t actually need 😂

Marks and Sparks and Waitrose are also competively priced in many items. It's almost like Aldi and Lidl think being careful with money means we're also thick so won't shop around 😒

As a heads up, Lidl has pesto flavoured lattice crisps as part of Italian Week. My local was putting the stuff out yesterday evening and I snagged a bag. They're very good (as someone who can usually take or leave crisps) and do indeed taste just like pesto 😅 I'm hoping there's still some left by the time I finish work 😅 (I think there's a bruschetta flavour too but I only had eyes for✨pesto✨)
I also love the coffee ice cream that is part of Italian week, managed to grab 4 tubs yesterday.
thankfully for my waist line they didn’t have the croccatini out as I would have cleared the shelf. Mmm delicious hazelnut brittle covered in chocolate

I haven't seen if anyone posted it already but my Aldi has knockoffs of the biscuit/toast teabags! There's Jaffa Cake teabags, biscuit, and salted caramel. They're pretty subtle but if you like the other ones you'll like these. I stole this photo, cba to go to my kitchen to take one :ROFLMAO:

Is it just me or does anyone else think Lidl's prices have sky rocketed recently? I don't go in there much but I thought I would the other day as I heard they have a good range of snacks for kids and grief, it seemed quite pricey for things like cheese and meat.

Lidl bakery toffee yum yum’s are elite 😍
I haven’t had one for ages though, I try and avoid Lidl and stick to Aldi while I’m trying to lose weight as that bakery sucks me right in and I have the willpower of a 6 year old in a Cadbury factory 🙄
I agree! A friend couldn't believe I hadn't sampled them and was determined that I should with an evil glint in his eye.
Having had only one I feel they are akin to heroin and I drag myself past on the rare occasions I allow myself back in Lidl.
On one such occasion a man was talking to his child in front of the bakery about choosing something but he didn't need to put on any more weight.
I immediately swooped in and warned him off the yum for which he thanked me profusely.
We have to have each others backs in dire situations like this. 😁😋

Is there a knack to using them, do you hang the clothes on a hanger or lay them flat when using it? I have one but feel it never works for me
I hang them so I can pull the garment as I steam. I have a built in wardrobe that has a knob handle and it’s the only place that is high enough.
I actually have a laundry helper on my wish list. So I can hang things up as I iron rather than trying to balance the coat hanger on picture rails / door frames.
I’m obviously the most exciting person ever🙈

Is it really wrong that I am excited that Aldi is finally opening a shop near to
where I live?

There are loads of Lidls but Aldi are few and far between.

I can't wait 🤭

Hi everyone. Not posted here before but when I came across the thread I thought I’d pop a comment in. If anyone has the Aldi oat milk, don’t be fooled by their new ‘barista’ repackaging. It’s the exact same ingredients and it still tastes like soggy cardboard. I use it because it’s cheap compared to branded ones but it still tastes pretty bad imo. 😆

I have two Lidls and three Aldis all a short drive from my house. One of the Aldis is like the Star Wars bar though. You need to be brave to enter. Another of them is new and in a posh area. The local residents objected in large numbers to it being built…probably because it wasn’t a Waitrose 🤣
