Anyone else I go to aldi 2 - 3 x a week for top up bits because it's 5 min walk from my house.. us anyone else finding the prices are rising every time I'm actually finding morrisons cheaper for certain things

Just had Lidl Deluxe butternut squash, ricotta and mascarpone mezzelune. Delicious!!

I really hope I can get a heatless curling set and one of the satin pillowcases on Thursday. I was just saying to my OH this morning that I wanted to find one because my hair is looking increasingly like Monica’s did in Barbados.

Last time I bought Lidl’s version of Pringles they were 79p. I thought I would grab some today and saw they were £1.55! Hell no, sorry but they seem to be increasing prices for the sake of it now and I’m getting very fed up

Does anyone else find that the fruit and veg at Aldi just doesn't last?

I bought some salad bits and strawberries in my shopping on Saturday. This morning I've gone to chop the strawberries for my breakfast - they're fluffy with mould despite still being in date! Gone to make a salad for my lunch and the cucumber is all soft and gone off! It's put me in a bad mood

At the ripe old age of 32, I’ve just started to eat and enjoy fish! (According to my mum it’s subconscious because I almost died after choking on a fish finger with a rogue bone in it as a child and refused it from then on. I have no memory of this!!)

But my ‘gateway fish’ has been Aldi frozen basa fillets, they come in two varieties either dusted with salt and pepper or coated with lemon tempura. Both so lovely, and quite mild white fish if you’re not a big fish person.

I went to get the bonded pre- treatment and hair mask. 2 women were dithering by the special buys, I nearly pushed them out of the way as they were taking too long!

I just got a pack of 30 (THIRTY) packets of crisps free from Lidl thanks to my Lidl card today. Given I live with permanently ravenous teenagers and man, this is freebies beyond my wildest dreams.

I also got two free choc croissants today thanks to this card. Whoever's in charge of that utterly shite Sparks card at M&S needs to realise GOOD FREE STUFF is what keeps cardholders coming back. Also take note Waitrose, whose card I have long since relegated to being my in-car ice scraper.

Just had a message from Lidl that I've saved £15 through app offers this month, so I would say it is! Though most of the giveaways are junk like crisps and bakery things!

Agree, I am having to exercise massive restraint although I did stumble today when one of the teens I was planning to give the pain au chocolat to was already out of the house by the time I got home with it.

Lidl have got a few things I'm interested in in their brochure this week so I'm going to snake my way around the aisle of shame when it opens at 10am. It does open at 9.30am for browsing but you can't scan anything until 10am.

Lidl is starting to be like a boyfriend, we have date times.

Done a pretty decent aldi shop yesterday, meat, cupboard stuff, cereals and snacks mainly. Me and Mr Mean usually play a guess the total game when queuing at the till and i am usually pretty good. I guessed £87 it came to £116
I feel like my guess was a truer reflection of what the food was worth... But that's 2023 for ya

I find Aldi totally incomprehensible in terms of where stuff is. No logic appears to be applied when distributing products around the store - it's as if the staff closed their eyes and just hurled the stuff around and let it stay where it landed.

Lidle is slightly more predictable/less confusing. Unless your my husband, but then again he finds much of modern life confusing, bless.

In my one they weren't with the rest of the food middle aisle special buys, but in big boxes by themselves with the non food bits

Found them in a big cage thing but they were covered by some big bags of blue snacks and only saw them when someone picked out a couple of blue bags. Yes they are good, going to crushed some of them up, add some Parmesan and coat some chicken strips with the mix and Airfry them for tea.

Similar situation in Aldi. What made it worse is that they are next to Pringles which were only 40p or so more. There's no value in getting own brand when it's so closely priced to branded, ffs

I think I’ve got a slipped disc and I can barely move so I sent Mr Pecan off to get my free pain au chocolat as well as a brownie. No brownies left So had to settle for a cinnamon bun. Comfort pastries help the pain somewhat

Naturally we would reciprocate by saying what we would like to see in there.

I tried the lacura luxury shower gel, sanctuary dupe. Only £1.99, lathers up lovely and didn't dry my skin out. Isn't as lovely smelling as the Sanctuary one, but for £2 for quite a decent sized bottle, I will stock up before they disappear.

Can't get anything in shitty Republic of Ireland lidl and aldi..

No brownies from the bakery and no garlic bread crisps ..

Oh and no bargain shops that sell the coffee chocolate bars..
