Can someone explain the malteasers ad to me thats been on air for 25 years??

When she says he spun me around on the dancefloor and then...does she mean she pissed herself or :ROFLMAO: what?
She's saying the necklace her friend lent her (which was old and belonged to her granny) broke and all the pearls were lost. But because of the "amusing" way she tells the story, her friend isn't angry about the necklace and instead wants to hear about the date.

I like some of the Maltesers ads but not others. I think the disability ones were pretty good but then they tried to branch out into other marginalised groups like the one with a woman saying "am I not getting dates because I'm gay or I'm an accountant?" which isn't really ... funny? And the disgusting one where the woman puts breast milk in her mother in law's tea, I hate anything like that

A weird thing to dislike, but when adverts have a shot of someone standing still as the camera backs away from them. Ebay ad does it with the little girl.

On the Beach. I don't want to hear Christmas songs when it's not Christmas, even if the lyrics have changed.

ASDA. The latest adverts are quite dull make it seem like it would be very bleak to shop in there.

That bloody Hellman's one where they all have a fridge full of stuff but apparently can't eat it unless they add some mayonnaise - 🎶 'turning nothing into something' 🎶 Aaaargh.
Why does she stick a great glob of the stuff into the veggie casserole thing? It looks disgusting!

I HATE the Nationwide adverts. Also Tesco "Food Love Stories" - so twee and annoying. The most recent one I saw was a guy with a fussy daughter who won't eat meat so now he uses vegan sausages; didn't you know we should all be vegan and "plant-based" all the time!

I like the Paco Rabanne Invictus/Olympea adverts but I cracked up when I saw someone on another site complain about "that cocky topless bloke clicking his fingers and flipping a police car over!"

😩 Xmas songs past Dec 25th is a no!
This has me in a rage every time LOL but I can’t decide if it’s genius for making you look at the screen every time in confusion about hearing Christmas music or just lazy and annoying

Imagine starting your holiday like that and having it stuck in your head for the rest of the fortnight 😵
That reminds me a bit of my honeymoon where within the first four hours of being in the room, whilst my husband had a very long nap, the pool/bar (which you could hear from the room) played Pokerface by Lady GaGa almost every other song. The hotel left us a bottle of some fruity sangria type shiz as a gift. Needless to say my husband didn't get any. I'd previously quite liked the song but couldn't listen to it for years afterwards.

Any and all diversity quota ads. Of which which there are so many, it actually amounts to a massive over representation. It's so obvious what the ad agencies are trying to do and it's fucking patronising.

The viagra connect one which makes out erectile dysfunction is all romantic, with a simpering absolutely ruined rendition of 500 miles by the Proclaimers. One of the lyrics is "when I'm lonely" - the singer somehow makes out this line as, "when I'm horny." Appropriate, I suppose. Makes my toes curl though!

Its been shown in the UK as well. The kids are very preachy acting as though adults haven’t already done their bit. They could have worded it to say I know we’ve done plenty so far but lets see if we can do some more instead of berating us adults as if we’ve done bugger all
I despise the aussie one most of all for that preachy 'Its a thing ya' know.......................................' with accompanying sneer :(

Oddly enough my freeview telly box only picks up Irish telly even though it was bought in Kent so I'm pretty au fait with Harvey Normans, SuperValue and bloody Lidl adverts on every single break!!
