"Jerusalem and Tel Aviv have the most AMAY-SING Nightlife!" *girl dressed like a 90s clubber does the most annoying dance moves I've ever had the misfortune to witness*

YES! I've already complained about this ad on the thread, but I've been getting it before every video and it's driving me nuts. I always skip, but have seen the beginning literally hundreds of times now. The girl and her retro dance moves remind me of those cringeworthy attempts to be 'down with the kids' that we were subjected to in school. You know, where everything would be written with KOOL LETTERZ 4 THE KIDZ and have skateboarders with blue hair. I had no idea Tel Aviv and Jerusalem were portals to 2001.

I really miss the beautiful Timotei shampoo ad, where beautiful ethereal-looking blonde girls in white dresses walked in the sunrays, through misty lush grass. Sigh.
They don't make them like that anymore.

The granny I got the job ad just makes me irritated. The runs in the family line, the weird kind of American/Aussie accent. Also various people slog their guts out but can’t just practically chose their wage.
The accent is Irish babe  not sure why the granddaughter is Irish and the grandma isn't though? Possible I guess but a bit random

I watch YouTube and I get a lot of FarFetch, Sweaty Betty and Hello Fresh, but that could be as I browse them 🥗

Is anyone crazy enough like me to have the free version of Spotify with the ads? So many horrors :)

@Laughingforlife BT? At least Just Eat seems to have subsided 😆

Ha ha I have started paying recently because the ads are so awful It really spoils listening to music. There used to an ad for the HPV vaccine constantly on Spotify-the shame when I had the volume up and forgot the ads would be piping up

The Sainsburys ads voiced by Stephen Fry. An extremely wealthy celebrity, telling us how we can save money. I've gone right off him.

Yes I begrudge these companies giving wealthy people yet another gig. Let some fresh talent get a foot in the door. It really bugs me.

The Prada one starring and 'made' by Emma Watson. Ergh, it's so pretentious, even by perfume ad standards. She's so smug and boring.

It's awful.

Exactly. I hate when actresses do a vocal fry in their voices and make dramatic “philosophical” pauses when they narrate these things. She sounds like a pretentious moron. The faces she pulls in that advert, trying to look so pensive and clever.

Does anyone else get the porcalenosa ads on Spotify? Those alone are making me want to pay for premium again 😵💫😵💫

I just don’t like soft-sell adverts, unless they’re cleverly done. You want us to buy your product, so just state this at the start of the advert and then explain what are the benefits of buying your product.

On a side note, I’ve seen various informative adverts from the ‘70s/‘80s/‘90s on social media recently, regarding topics such as diseases, burglary and road safety, and whilst they’re scary as hell, I really wish we brought them back. At least then the ad breaks during TV shows would stimulate and evoke some emotion 😅.

I remember that one where a bloke orders a drink and the man serving behind the bar suddenly keeps switching between being the police, a judge, the man's boss and his wife all telling him off. don't drink and drive! please tell me someone else remembers it 😂 it used to be on all the time!
