TBH I think the “ordinary London girl” thing is a bit of an act too, which she cynically pulls out of the bag every so often when she thinks it might be helpful. Let’s face it, she went to a highly competitive performing arts school and was launched when she was still a teenager, which likely means she was on a development contract years before that. She’s spent most of her life being coddled and fawned over by music industry suits. That is very far from an ordinary life. She’s spoilt.

Exactly. She is lucky she has such a strong accent as that is her usp . She would be just like any other ballad singer otherwise and definitely wouldn't have had so much success in America ?
