I hadn't really paid too much attention to this situation - I thought just another family drama caused when someone gets involved in a family with money (which it is) but when you actually look into it you realize how much of this is caused by Adam himself.

The original family fallout occured when he decided to include his brother's mental health struggles and history of drug use in his book to sell copies, after James started speaking to him again Adam asked him to help renovate his home which he agreed to and then they fell out again professionally (not too many details why). Then when his brother went through one of the hardest times of his life, the loss of his son, Adam skipped his nephews funeral to attend a wedding. Not the wedding of a friend of his, the wedding of a friend of Holly who, at this point, Adam had been publicly dating for a couple of months.

I'd say the relationship with the family was on its last legs from this point and the situation around the wedding was the last straw. What we know about the arrest is that James sent some angry text messages to Adam when he was on his stag do (which James had not been invited to). Adam sent these to Holly who showed them to her mother who shows them to Megan, Holly's sister who is a metropolitan police officer. Holly then made a complaint to the police which resulted in 5 police officers attending at the airport to ensure Adam's 'safety'. Which is complete overkill. James was then arrested on suspicion of harassment and had the case hanging over his head for nine months (so far) although it seems a NFA is coming soon. The public narrative is that this is because their sister has recanted her statement. However, for there to be harassment it would have been in the communications that James sent to Adam which the police have had since before the arrest was made. The fact it has dragged on for nine months can only be due to pressure being put on the police to keep the case going - harassment cases do not take this long to result in charges.

So whilst Adam is crying about how all these outside issues that were not of his doing have caused his bad run of form - it is clear everything that has occured is due to Adam and decisions that he made.

If I was James I would be writing up the SAR and will be sending it as soon as the NFA comes through - before any paperwork gets lost or destroyed.

wow I didn't know about his nephew and brother. Missing his nephew's funeral in favour of his girlfriend's friends wedding, that's cold...sometimes I think athletes get so focussed on their goals and their egos get stroked they forget to empathise about other people.

I didn't really know anything about it until I started looking in to it. I just find it maddening that the family had real grievances with his behaviour and he just cannot see him and takes about forgiveness when he feels they have learnt to be be better and he just cannot see how bad his own actions have actually been.

It’s likely that some family members may want to offer an olive branch, as he is about to become a father again. This talk of them having to become “better people” will make them back off.

He may feel that he has it all with the Ramsey’s, and has no issue with full on no contact with his own family.
I’m not advocating that family forgiveness is always the answer (it definitely isn’t), but I doubt that he is in any position to talk about others being “better people”.

I think his sister is due within four weeks of Holly so I'm sure that the Peaty family will be wrapped up in that baby. I also think the family are keeping relatively quiet until the decision in James's case but then I think, at least for him, the gloves will be off.

Arrest is no sign of seriousness or even that anything “chargeable” has happened. The Police arrest so they can question and investigate. His Brother has (as far as I can see), neither bern charged or convicted of any offence

Adam would feel far less bitter if he did forgive - there are people out there who have forgiven the murders of family members, to stop themselves from holding on to anger that can ruin their life. It doesn’t mean they forget but simply that they choose peace. He’d probably find he felt better in himself, reconciling can take time but not forgiveness.

It’s not Adam who won’t forgive, it’s princess Holly. He is just baring a grudge by proxy to placate his spoiled petulant wife.

There is a section in Gordon’s book where he arranged for a reservation book to be stollen by a guy on a moped, from the restaurant he had been head chef at, because they were taking him to court. He then tried to palm the blame off onto Marco Pierre White as recompense, as he believed he sabotaged him getting his third Michelin star.

Then there is Tana’s dad and brother defrauding the family, who they had to take to court.

If I were a big cheese at the MET, i’d be keeping a close eye this Ramsey daughter. They are clearly a rum lot. I’d also be warning her not to waste police time. The Ramsey’s should not be using the police to get priority treatment because Holly ‘boulder face’ Ramsey threw a little hissy fit.

It’s not Adam who won’t forgive, it’s princess Holly. He is just baring a grudge by proxy to placate his spoiled petulant wife.

Yeah a lot of it is her bidding but he is willing to do it which makes him worse.

When their kid is born, she is gonna do all she can to make sure something 'pops up' whenever he is due to see him.
