Also the burden on the nhs, bed spaces and over worked staff. My sisters who is a nurse has been doing a 45 hour week since march. She even treated a protester with a sprained ankle who was loudly complaining about having to wait four hours to be seenMy moan is that all my friends (so many of them) who felt it was their right to visit family for Xmas and mix and are now all testing positive for covid
One friend went up north mixed with her family with various households now the whole family have got covid and she's back in the south ...great and that is how the virus spreads
She now moaning about being stuck self isolating with the kids. Another friend mixed with extended family and moaning that her friend is finding it 'tricky' to get out of London to visit her ...ffs we're in tier 4 here and so is London and she thinks it's the lack of trains.
Entitled and ignorant.
Can't people just accept this year is gonna be shit.
Urgh, you poor thing. I have a bit of a phobia about being sick, and the thought of this just sounds like the worst thing in the world. I hope you feel better soon!!TW for being sick in case anyone doesn’t like that.
As I said in my opening post, I have a bad back and cannot move very much. This morning it is horrendous however I have also managed to be up throughout the night with what now seems to be a sickness bug.
But because I can’t walk very well I can’t get to the bathroom very quickly to be sick, que being sick getting out of bed, on the floor (sorry if I’m grossing you all out.)
The pressure from the act of being sick is also super painful for my back so essentially I am having a fucking great time.
Unsure if I have ever been more miserable to be honest, I have had the thing where I wish I appreciated not being illmeant to have ten days holiday from work after today so I also have so much work to finish off and I just cba entirely

You sound like a nice friend to have but don't feel bad about putting your own needs first. Even if its a little white lie, say you have to get off the phone because of blah blah blah. Its really difficult when you're already low to be dragged down further. I find walking helps. I did two hours yesterday and picked out five front doors I liked, five cars, five houses and counted how many cats I met on the way. I also try and guss the colour of the car I can hear coming from behind. I feel stupid revealing all that but strangely it helps and I feel better when i get back. I'm glad you've got this place to offload at least.I feel pretty bleak at the moment. It is not anything to do with my last whinge, it is just the way I'm feeling at the moment. My mood hasn't been helped, by the drunken ramblings of a friend of ours who phoned earlier. I have compassion for his situation, but not on New Years Day, when you are trying to focus on being positive! I have managed to chase my long suffering partner, out of HIS own home, because of the way I am feeling.
Cold miserable weather outside, no places to go, not much of a bus service today (to travel back to my own place, which I haven't been to in over a week).
Whinge, whinge whinge!
You didn’t, you are very strong to have kept going through what has been a tough year without the help you need and deserve.Hope I didn't kill this thread with my depressing post!
