They sent Chad to the wilderness camp on the advice of Jodi, also cancelled the two youngest’s Christmas presents, and made Chad sleep on a bean bag for months. This was all based on Jodi’s advice, as they were her clients for years before Ruby became directly involved with connexions. They are terrible parents, and as adults should have made much better decisions for their children, and they should be held accountable, but Jodi has a history of horrific abuse and especially of separating husbands from their wives and children.
It’s very complicated because it’s so embroiled in the Morman faith, which uses control and brain washing even at its most ‘normal’ level.
I’m in no way defending Ruby and Kevin, and the abuse and her journal entries shocked me to the core, but Jodi has been doing this for decades. The Morman church are trying to silence her past victims.

The 911 call audio is on tiktok and it’s horrible, you can hear how emotional the neighbour is about the state R is in. It does confirm R asked the neighbour to call the police though (early reports were mixed), just what a brave boy he truly was.

Hard agree. A 3 yo looking at p*rn would imply an abusive parent, not an abusive child. But it's just BS that she has made up because she is stupid enough to think it makes her look innocent.

She wants us to believe that she has raised someone who has been addicted to sex since they were in nappies and also that she thought she was fit to dedicate her life to giving other people parenting advice. These two things don't go together!

Neither Ruby and Jodi should of ever had children cause they clearly get joy from being cruel to children. Long before Ruby even met Jodi, you could tell by Rubys parenting she didn’t like being a mother she was either complaining about having to look after her kids or making her kids feel guilty and made them all feel like a burden. She always seem bitter that she had to be responsible for her own children. Watching their videos you would of just thought she’s way too strict , controlling at times and unfair to those kids but it wasn’t until Jodi came into the picture that things obviously became a million times worse. Two women who love the sound of their own voice, are selfish , hate children , hate being mothers and want to have the power and control over people. Jodi apparently has children who are adults but I wonder what their childhood was like.

When R left his socks outside and she made him pick them up and do 10 pushups. My heart shattered at his little face

I’m not saying her actions are right or anything but she wasn’t punishing her child for forgetting her lunch. Eve told her she’d packed the lunch!!

Her 5 year old isn’t using a knife and making sandwiches. She’s grabbing snacks from a cupboard and putting them in a bag!
a 5 year old is more than capable of doing that.
I’d have handled the lunch thing differently personally but she’s not expecting eve to chop up food. Just grab some fruit and snacks and pack them.



I agree that a 5 year old shouldn’t be told to go hungry but I don’t think it’s expecting too much to ask a 5 year old to put snacks in a bag

But the kid could have forgotten or made a mistake. She’s 5 years old. She shouldn’t be left to go hungry. Take the lunch and have a chat after school to help her understand what happened. I’d also question the parenting if she’s just grabbing some packaged crap instead of having a proper lunch. You’re deffo in the minority here thinking this is normal behaviour

I don't believe these sisters have tried their hardest to help these kids at all. Also, this isn't their story to tell. Especially making money from it. These poor kids have had enough of their lives plastered on the internet. Any adult that had an inkling of knowledge that abuse was happening and didn't call the police need charging as well (I'd put money on it that none of the sisters actually reported Ruby).

I remember being shocked at the disproportionate discipline Ruby gave her kids (the no food for her 6 year old who forgot her own lunch and making her son sleep on a bean bag for months as punishment for a prank). All so extreme and harsh.
I can't believe what's coming to light now. Absolutely vile.
Thank goodness for the brave Russell. Life changing decision he made that day and I'm in awe of his courage.
Lets hope all the children can start to heal and try to recover from this. They're going to need so much time, love and support.

I wonder if any of her family’s feelings will change now that the full evidence has been released? I have to admit that I was utterly shocked by how bad the wounds were and then the journals were beyond anything I could’ve imagined. It does make me question how much they understood about the severity of it all and whether they will be shocked also.

I don’t believe for one second that R watched porn. Knowing Ruby it was probably a music video or a television episode that’s most likely innocent/PG where two people kissed or something but she’s just a fuckin psycho (that’s if it even happened and she didn’t make it up of course)

Something comes into my mind in regards to Ruby's plan to move away to some desert land:

From other child abuse cases I learnt that the kids are killed or starved to death when the parent can't call a doctor anymore without releasing long-term neglect or risking that the tortured child speaks to the doctor what was done to it (which would put the parent in prison).
Is it possible that this was the reason she dropped them from school/didn't allow contact with the father etc.? This would mean she knew perfectly well, in what state these kids were. It was reported that some wounds were black and smelt. This is very dangerous, often this results in amputation or blood poisoning/sepsis. Only a professional doctor can treat this kind of injury and it must be done quickly. Maybe she knew this and she realised that there was no way out for her. And then decided to kill them.

This occurred to me too. In the worst cases of child abuse and neglect where the child is rescued from the brink of death it is often a parent/caregiver who makes that call. And these, I hate to say it, are the ones who may have a fleeting moment of conscience. In this instance, it looked like the children were being hidden away so that they couldn't be 'spotted' in any jurisdiction and make it easy for them to disappear. I saw the case files/pictures and I can't unsee them. Even to the non medical eye it's evident that the wounds were so severe that sepsis or death would be the next step so I think poor little Russell was an exceptionally brave little boy who saved him and his sister from certain death.

Kevin has a lot to answer for too, you don't just not see your children for over a year. I saw a video of him mocking Chad for sending text messages to a girl and he read them out on the 8P channel. He's a cruel and sadistic bastard.

While I think Shari suffered from the psychological abuse I don’t think the actual physical abuse happened until more recently, maybe even after she left and wasn’t there to protect the younger ones as Shari did to an extent parent those kids. She could have been reporting only what she went through.

The aunts may not have been aware of the physical and only the psychological. If that’s all that was reported and happening at the time CPS could/would visit and probably see a clean house, food, children who physically were well at the time and see no problem. If that’s all that was reported then they wouldn’t take further reports seriously.
Are the kids still in their school? Wouldn’t they have noticed if ongoing,

As for Kevin, they are his kids. Malnutrition don’t happen overnight and these behaviours have gone on for years. He’s been aware of things and even complicet so he should be charged too.

What I find very telling is that only R&E were tied up and that J&A were in the house but not , also that it was not Rubys house.

No matter what I am just glad that these kids are safe now and can recover, I just hope that they don’t give custody to Kevin.

I agree if he hadn’t managed to escape and get them help they’d both be dead by now, and the sheer bravery it took to do it again after the way she punished him after his first attempt never mind with the horrific injuries he had, that little boy has so much strength.

One of the children had to climb out of a window and went to a neighbour door asking for help and food and water they had duct tape around their wrists and ankles that’s when the police was called it’s just been on Fox 13 page

It was R, he had lacerations on his wrists from rope!

I think they’d already bought property and land in an isolated part of Arizona desert. They were planning on making it impossible for the kids to be seen by neighbours again, or escape. Jodi’s house was already cleared out of a lot of stuff when the police got there. It was going to happen soon, and R must have known that and made a last ditch attempt at rescue.
I hope the parole board has access to Ruby’s diaries and all the other filmed evidence.
