A man with such troubles shouldn't be making speeches, especially at this late stage.

People can watch the video regardless of who posted it and make their own mind up.

I'm sure team Kamala was right on it to get Biden to reclarify what he said. He's managed to scupper one angle that was working well for them to be critical of team Trump. Although I doubt Biden wrote a word of his explanation.

I await the community note.

Meh. Biden isn't the one running, and notice he hasn't been on the campaign trail for Harris (a wise move imho). Plus, Donald Trump has been calling Democrats the "enemy from within" for weeks now. That seems extremely inflammatory and potentially liable to incite his supporters to commit violence. And yet, no one is hauranging him about his language and rhetoric.

The rhetoric of one supporter. Whose jokes appeared on the teleprompter, so therefore were clearly vetted and approved ahead of time.

Clearly people are going to view this through their own biased lenses. I don't think it'll move the needle much at all and it's not the slam dunk MAGA thinks it is for their campaign. Because again, Biden isn't the one running.

That was just one example. But I don't think you can say no one is going on about the language and rhetoric - Kimmel, Stewart and Colbert all did long monologues about this on their shows last night.

Team Kamala could have used the awful MSG "comedian", but feels like it's been torpedoed. If only biden could have spent this last week on holiday and said nothing.

35 million views for Joe Rogan's 'interview' with Trump. Joe Rogan looks off his face whenever I see him. His head looks like my left nutsack. What is the appeal of this bleeping idiot? The ridiculous thing is with this Rogan character is that his whole schtick is anti-vax, yet he never questioned Donald about the COVID roll-out during his administration. It's so pathetic.

Rogan is the kind of bloke who focuses on the 4 people who contracted Polio due to the Polio vaccination yet ignores the hundreds of millions who will never contract Polio due to being vaccinated. Oooah, it's a massive conspiracy. Oooaah ... the deep state are poisoning us!! These are the kind of bleeps wer're dealing with here. I'm not sure how to stop it. As Mark Twain said: A lie travels around the world before the truth can even get its pants on".

I lived, loved, and studied in the US and I have great affection for the country and the people who live there. But if Trump wins their version of 'democracy' (and law) just doesn't bleeping work. It's broken. The 'experiment' has failed.

Roughly summed up, it up he doesn’t like republicans or democrats much at the moment. He hates politics. He says republicians not great on deficit, democrats have failed on inner city crime but he cannot vote for Trump who calls America the ‘trash can of the world’. He said he’s an American first and republician second so will be voting for Kamala and Tim.

There have been stories for a while about people leaving because of how long he drones on and there are videos to show it. Of course, it will be called fake by the same people who now claim MSG had nearly 200,000 in the building even though the maximum capacity is 19,500.

Trump clearly says he's talking about the people around her. Biden said trump supporters AKA half the country. Huge difference between calling the small number of people around her and half the country. Not the gotcha you think it is.

He referred to the comedian, not Trump supporters. So - also - not the gotcha you think it is. But hey, doesn't matter in the end, Biden isn't the one running for president.

It matters because it was a gift for the opposition and has helped them turn the tide on the “Trump hates Puerto Ricans” narrative.

I actually thought Kamala had her best day yesterday, managing to produce a speech that sounded, unusually, both strong AND coherent. Unfortunately what is being discussed ad nauseam is Biden’s calamity. I agree that what he said could be entirely plausibly defended. But even here nobody has even mentioned her speech. It’s all about Biden and whether he meant “supporters” or “supporter’s”. I’d also suggest that his appearance raises in the mind of voters yet again questions around his mental capacity, communication ability and - rightly or wrongly - how the Democrats allowed this situation to continue for so long.
