So looking at going Italy now I think at the end of September if they will let us in without the quarantine. But if it stays on amber a test is needed in the way home does anyone know how to book a test abroad any sites to look on?

Been talking to my friend in Norway and seriously considering it. I've said before I wouldn't travel in these times but when someone invites you over you can't help being excited at the prospect of a holiday.

I used a company called Qured. I think it was £39 for the lateral flow and you do it while on a FaceTime call to a clinician and they send over the certificate. Very very easy to do

I was going to comment this too - don’t want to piss anyone off but flew out to Spain this morning and it was seriously easy and smooth. Lots of admin before so had to be prepared but really no different to normal.Just returned from Greece can't believe how easy it actually was. Fab holiday

I am in Spain currently and flew from France. In Paris at the airport, they just asked me the QR codes of the Spanish form you fill online before traveling. Arriving to Spain at the airport, they took our temperature and we had to show the proof of vaccination or test (both on the phone). It was fast and well organised.
Going to Greece (mainland) on 03rd September, traffic light-list pending (all the travel experts I follow seem confident it will stay Amber, but you never know!)
I don’t see the point of a “holiday” at this point in time, you have to get jabbed, wear masks and then quarantine. It’s hardly relaxing imo, better off saving money and going camping in the countryside with loved ones. Make the most of the nice weather we’re having lol.
Currently in Greece (Crete) having an awesome time. As long as you’re prepared with remembering everything you need to sort to go and then come home it’s all good.. absolutely no regrets here

Not if you're fully jabbed. Masks on the plane and then test once when you're back and one lateral flow 48 hours before returning. Other than that you're free to enjoy your holiday.
Exactly. A tiny bit more admin on the way out and return but other than that all normal. In southern Spain right now. Glorious I can’t deny it
How do you prove the outcome of the LFT? Are they the less expensive ones? I get confused with the different tests lol
Depends on the testing company you use. Ours are lateral flow tests, we do them, take a pic, submit it through their portal they verify it then send back the cert to say yes your negative etc. Some you do a video call I believe.
So if I had to take one abroad I'd need to find where I'd get the test beforehand? Was only going to go for 4 days so it's annoying I'd have to take a test on the second day there and then one 2 days when back. These companies are laughing all the way to the bank
I think a lot of airports do them so you can get it done when you go for your flight since they only take a short time for the result. Maybe check the airport where you think you might go.
Yeah heard that too. Will have a check. Getting to the other country seems fine it's just getting back to England that could be a hassle.
Yeah, lots of companies out there offering them, our hotel organise too but we got a testing package through tui so was £30 each for the whole lot. But some I’ve seen are extortionate
