everything is taken so seriously.5 people said “each to their own” or a version of it, I wasn’t hitting at anyone, I was trying to make a joke
I normally put this as my avatar on Facebook this time of year.
No Christmas decorations until 1st December at the earliest. Otherwise it just gets earlier and earlier. I like to take my decorations down around 27th or 28th. I've usually had enough by then im not a Grinch because I do love Christmas but once Christmas is over that is it until 1st December next year for me

It’s too early for me as I’m a 1st Dec person - I love decorating though and can’t wait but I can totally see why people have done it sooner. We all need as much merriment and cheer as we can bloody get these days lmao if it comes in the form of a gonk or two* then that’s fair enough.

I refuse to even entertain Christmas until December 1st. That means no Christmas songs, no decorations, duck all to do with it.
I have this
I do actually love the day itself. Love seeing my children get excited, love seeing my family and friends but I think the over commercialism and the whole being that bit more then everyone else makes me feel very jaded by it all
How dusty would it all get being up for so long 
the same people will be ripping them down December 26th when most normal people are just settling into enjoying their Christmas why is everything so high speed and OTT I love Christmas but will think about decorating end of November or even early December! Today is All Souls not Christmas we talk so much about mindfulness and living in the moment but not giving ourselves time to actually do any of it It’s all a rush onto the next thing.

Odd... eight year old son mentioned about putting up the decs this evening. ‘The look’ was all that was required to make him change the subject

Imagine having your Christmas tree up that early.. you’d end up dusting the baubles! I love Christmas but 1 December - no sooner.
