Thanks, way back on a snark site we used to take the piss out of a blogger who had an enormous following and terrible spelling. They were trying to flog ‘brightly coloured bowls’ but made a typo and I was born.
I got through a load of episodes of Supersize vs Superskinny yesterday - had it in the background whilst I was reading. I wonder where all those super size and skinniers are now. It’s amazing how much tv has changed. Part of the programme is the woman who presents Naked Attraction trying different diet aids for a week and seeing if she looses weight, she’s done the baby food diet(remember that?!) the apple cider vinegar, hypnosis and herbal diet pills. Then Gillian McKeith rears her vile head on a crusade to ‘ban big bums’ finding groups of women around the country who will strip to their underwear, have their bums measured on tv and then go on a 4 week exercise fad (1 programme it was a surfing machine, another it was a machine that replicates sitting on a horse) before being remeasured all whilst being called things like ‘Welsh wobblers’ and ‘tubby teesiders’ by the voiceover. Meanwhile creepy Dr Christian lords over everyone. You’d never get away with it now!
Naturally I am still watching it!
